The Royal Bengal in North Hertfordshire

Disappointing. Very average food. We haven’t had a take away from The Royal Bengal for a few years and won’t be going back. Unfortunate as we used to rate their food.

Delicious food. Recommend the Lamb Tikka Biryany.

Nice curry, but discount for cash...... sounds dodgy to me!

The food and service was absolutely faultless and definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever eaten at.If I'm in the area again then I'll definitely be eating here again.

Really good value. Had the government eat out to help out discount running too which was a pleasent supprise when the bill came.

You feel the warm welcome as soon as you enter this charming Indian restaurant. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, we were not rushed into ordering. They want to share their cuisine with you, I felt real passion in the food that was prepared for us, it was well presented, colourful and well seasoned with delicate spices. I just wanted to try everything. And believe me I wasn't at all dissatisfied and would highly recommend this little gem.

Good traditional curry house without excessive fuss (no square plates). All the curries you would expect and draught beer kept well. I have been for dinner for two as well as work meals of over 10 and both work well.

Hadn't visited here for a few years but I definitely won't be leaving it so long next time. The food is excellent and had a good laugh with the guys in there too! The Royal Bengal does not disappoint!

Visited this restaurant a while ago but have friends who have eaten here recently. My experience was a very pleasant atmosphere, very clean with friendly and helpful staff able to advise you on what you might like to try according to your tastes. The prices are reasonable considering that the food is to a very high standard. Everyone I have spoken to, has told me that their recent experience has been the same.

What an absolute pile of dung! It took 30 minutes to be seated even though we had booked a table, the service was slow, the nan bread was cold, we were placed under the air conditioner (the waiter tried saying that the air conditioning must have made the nan bread cold), the lemon rice was full of lemon peel, pips & onion, we had to send back the nan bread as the meal would have been cold by the time they brought out a new lot.Maybe it was because they were busy......on a Sunday.......with 5 customers? It may be good for Royston, but for everywhere else this place is pretty poor. If I could give no stars I would gladly give a minus number.
