I had been to this takeaway a few years back and it was very good. A recent visit was disappointing. Very expensive and fish was small. Flavour was okay but I have had much better.

The chips! Oh my Lord, such chips! The fish was pretty good but the chips were so good - crispy on the outside, meltingly soft inside - that, having enjoyed them at lunchtime, we went back for more at dinner time!

What a farce this Friday 8th October 2021, at this Fish and Chip shop Alberts Fishbar in Holt. I went into this shop at five fifteen pm to place and order for two portions of Cod. I was told that the next available time was six fifteen pm; an hour later. There were five staff in the shop and every order was in a time slot. What a mockery, they deserve to close. I walked out and went to the Holt Fish nearer to the centre of town and was served straight away. Fish was great and slightly cheaper without an hour wait. Alberts Fishbar what a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!

Superb! Cod was thick, fresh and flakey, cooked perfectly to order in the crispiest batter. Rock was so fresh and white and meaty and soft. Chips were fresh fried to order, crispy, fluffy and hot! No nasty taste of old oil. Best fish n chips we've had in a long time! Our compliments to the chef, thank you for making my fiancé's birthday that bit more special! We will be back!

Well I thought the portion size was good. In fact I couldn't manage all of my medium cod and chips The cod was perfectly cooked and obviously a fresh fish. The chips were crispy and fluffy. Perfect. Price was about average and in fact for fresh fish probably cheap. Plus the friendly staff were great. We will be back. (Ps we're not all moaners in the south! xx)

One of the best fish and chips I think I've ever been to. The chips are crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. And I was able to buy a small portion, just right. The batter on the haddock is not too thick and it's very crispy. And the owner was very friendly, the fish and chips were cooked to order. First class.

Fantastic food cooked fresh large haddock was superb enjoyed sitting inside while regularly customers came in even bringing in xmas presents Alberts need not worry when Eric's opens one of his chains in town. Know which one I'll be using 😂 😂..
