The prawn linguini was good! But the scampi was just average (small pieces in the big plate). The price is really affordable.

I have to apologise as I did not take any pictures of our meals as we just tucked in straight away.I had Prawn Cocktail the fish and chipsOther half hadButternut Squash & Lentil Soup thenFish and chipsEvery part of our meal was absolutely Lovely, very tasty, hot and lots of it , we were so full no room for a desert... Meals were very reasonably priced and well worth it .Staff were very friendly and could not do enough for usI can see why this restaurant is in the top 3 to eat in Cromer.... A definite⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from us....

Absolutely fantastic meal, well worth a visit, crab cake and prawn cocktail to start and linguine and beef stroganoff for mains which meant no room left for desert

We came here after recently moving into our new home in Overstrand. It's a bit hard to find as it is actually part of the Cromer country club and there is no signage for it from the car park, but once you do find it, it is a fantastic restaurant. The restaurant was very clean and stylish - we initially thought high quality and expensive but the prices on the menu aren't too bad! The service was generally prompt and the waiteress was nice and friendly. The food, as you can see from the photos, was amazing. From the starters to the mains we had to the tasteful deserts, for the price you pay the food you get, as well as the portion sizes are fantastic. The menu also has a good amount of choice for everyone and a variety of dishes. The only thing I would recommend to the restaurant is that they offer some sauces with their steaks, like peppercorn sauce. Although the steak was very nice it would've gone well with something like that.UPDATE: I've had to significantly reduce my review for Amber restaurant after an incredibly poor experience. We booked a table for a Christmas dinner which they assured us would be available - turns out they didn't make correct note of it and we went along for nothing; us and our neighbours had planned to go along for a dinner which never happened as they are incompetent at taking bookings clearly. The way in which it was dealt with by whoever it was as well was poor as if we were more of an inconvenience than anything else.

We were staying at The Grove just down the road but we ate here. You need to book but the food is simply amazing. Staff are super professional and they way they interact with you reminds me of a much posher restaurant. They also check on you regularly and this is quite rare these days. There is a nice atmosphere in the restaurant in a very modern setting. Hats off to the manager and staff at the restaurant for making our meal and experience so delightful. I'd definitely travel back there for a meal again, not just for the food but for the customer service. A gem of a place to eat.The only negative is that it is a little / quite hard to find as only the Golf Club is shown from the road and it is quite a meandering drive to get to the restaurant although you are able to park very close by / opposite. We were walking and had to go into the reception to ask where the restaurant actually was and even on the driveway we were not sure where we were going so we followed the signs to 'reception'. Perhaps some signage would be good for the restaurant as for people not staying at the resort it is a little hard to find.

Had a pretty decent evening meal at Amber Bar & Restaurant. They ask you to wear masks when walking around inside, take your temperature before entering, give you your cutlery inside a plastic box so you can take it yourself, and ask you to view the menus on their website via their QR code. The main meals we had were the fish pie (which was a good portion and well filled) and the chicken katsu curry (which was tasty). Desserts were toffee cheesecake (a fairly small portion and tasted a bit gelatine-like), and lemon tart. Service was pretty slow as it took over 30 mins to get our mains but it wasn't too much of a problem as we weren't in a rush.

Fantastic food and great service for very reasonable prices. We came here after a quick search online and at first but we were confused by the location. Google had it as by the side of the road but it is in fact within the Country club. The bar tables are available to non members (not sure about the restaurant) and have very comfortable seating. For the evening on Sunday they had a general quiz which was a bit of a surprise and highly enjoyable. My only regret is not being able to return soon as my weekend trip is over already!
