Long queue of patrons waiting on arrival, looked promising, the you realise that they only cooked to order and didn't take your order until you where nearly at the till, so much wasted time waiting for each order to be cooked individually. 20+ minutes before I could order.Okay, fish portions were generous and cooked to near perfection, prices good especially as holiday location.Chips, ah the chips😣. A very generous large portion, of stale, hard, overcooked "chips", which we gave up on and binned.

I ordered a large cod, small chips, for £9. Service was quick and polite, the cod a good size. A little overcooked and a tad dry, for my taste, but everyone's different. A filling meal nonetheless.

So we used to still live in the area, and used this chippy quite a lot, the food was always lovely and freshly cooked. We’re now caravanning back in the area and decided to go back. I am sorry to say but it’s not like it used to be, we managed to eat the fish and sausage we ordered But possibly think the oil needs changing. As for the chips I’m afraid they were inedible and ended up in the bin.Again the oil either needs changing or they had been cooked twice. Ultimately this led to a very disappointing tea.I’m sorry to leave this review and I never usually complain but this time felt like I had to speak up as we have just wasted £15 on a meal we were looking forward to.

Good food near a lovely bench lookign at the sea. The owner was very friendly and even gifted me a lemon for the fish and chips. Nice vibe!

Honestly a great find!! We were staying in Walcott on a mini seaside getaway and decided to walk over to Barton and get some fish and chips!! This lovely little place didn’t disappoint! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, they had a large variety of fish that had been cooked fresh or made to order! The portions were huge and great value for money, me and my partner both amazed!!!

Have been to the chip shop on numerous occasions , today will be my last visit the chips varied between raw and some were hard(tough) as if they had been reheated very greasy and had an odd flavour. Not to mention the cost. Very disappointed.

Fish and chips cooked fresh. They even had my favourite rockfish. No wonder that people pass several other establishments to get to this one. Thank you to all concerned. We're looking fwd to our next visit.

Maybe we just caught the chippy on a bad day but was very disappointed with the service. A queue of 10 people when arriving turned into an hour wait from arrival time to leaving. 2 people working behind but instead of taking the orders for the line waiting outside, was cooking to order. Food was OK but nothing to scream about - very greasy as it didn’t have enough time to drain. Fortunately as the sun was out the queue was nice and chatty. Anyone thinking of swinging by, if you see a queue just don’t bother.

I came to shop around 8pmnon Saturday at the end of July 21.The shop was meant to be close at 20:30 but people were not stopping to queue...I've ordered Rock (named just Rock) for £5.95, cod roe for £1.50, small chips, mushy peas.Tasty, cooked very well, I mean Ell was a bit dry, boneless though.Cash only.Clean tidy place.Friendly staff.

Very busy chip shop with decent quality fish but my Haddock was very greasy and my wife's was overcooked. Just needed to let my fish to drain and I'm sure it would have been better. The chips and curry sauce were very nice. I give it 2.5 stars.
