Beach Rock Fish and Chips in North Norfolk

Great fish and chips. BUT: No understanding about ALLERGIES. They have their ticked boxes of the 14 major allergies on their door - but the manager told us they were too busy to listen to our questions about ingredients (we have allergies to other things apart from the main 14). We finally got there with the guy on the cash register who did demonstrate some understanding but none of it felt very safe.

Would love to know how good this place is but twice I've been here and haven't been able to eat, the first time was due to them taking cash only which is rare nowadays so maybe our fault for not being prepared. But the second time they still had 2 hours until close yet they had run out of everything, including chips! Pretty poor when a chip shop runs out of chips.

Don't know about food as despite opening hours advertised.And open sign on door.They are not open so don't rely on eating here .

Delicious moist cod, perfectly cooked in very crispy batter. Order at one door, collect at the next at the moment. Staff were pleasant and there were benches and picnic tables nearby if you don't want to take the food to the beach. Happy to recommend.

Great fish n chips here! Visited just before closing at 7:30 pm on the first night of our holiday, all really hungry. Pubs were fully booked, so this place was a life-saver. Reasonable waiting time. Golden crispy batter, generous portions. Very tasty! Recommended.

Ordered 2 meals to eat in this afternoon. There was elderly couple with a dog in buggy inside as well eating their lunch. I was asked if I wanted salt and vinegar I asked if I can have it on the table as my son is fussy, the lady told me : "we don't give bottles , we would not want u to touch it" ( yes just like that) I said no to salt or vinegar ( while the elderly couple had both vinegar and salt on the table?!. After about 20min I was served my chips in a plastic container and my scampi in a bag on a top of the container. I called the waitress back and asked , why I do not have my food on a plate as the elderly couple have and also if I could have any kind of cutlery? I was told , that they specifically asked to have plate. I asked if atleast my son can have plate and she really brought JUST ONE PLATE while I was eating my scampi from a paper bag. Very weird place. Then a guy came over, looked around and loudly said:" That's it, that's the last ones, no more people inside." That made me feel super welcomed 😁.Food was absolutely nothing special, overpriced for what it was, soggy chips and small Ketchup and mayo in plasticboxes, like in old times when noone cared about enviroment. On the top being treated like a second class customer, while accros the road, great coffee shop with smiley faces and great customer service. What a shame.

Fish & chips were good, just a little greasy. Reasonable price. Understandably don't have sharing salt and vinegar out at the moment, so maybe worth selling with the other sauces at the till?

Called in for a couple of trays of chips! Really helpful and friendly staff. The place is c19 compliant and is well organised. The chips were great and the chips and cheese were ok, but a bit more cheese would have made them great! Reasonable price and for some reason chips by the sea always taste awesome. Quick service and worthy of a quick visit!
