We had lunch at Byfords and sat outside with our dog. Our waitress was so friendly, attentive and informative. Our meals were delicious. We had 2 seafood platters, a Store platter and a puzza. We signed up for a Norfolk Pass. We also visited the Deli and the food purchased was lovely. Thank you. 😀

We had an amazing afternoon tea here for Mother’s Day today! Lovely, filling food with a wide selection of hot drinks to have with it all. They catered extremely well for my vegan diet, a lot of choice in both the savoury and sweet parts of the afternoon tea. Great table service with polite and helpful staff, our waitress Lesley was great! Highly recommend for an afternoon tea and for vegans! 👍

Went to Byfords for a lunch.having experienced The Pigs I had quite a high expectation. The design of the restaurant was very quirky. And pleasant. Definitely suited the type of place my wife and I like to visit. The Brunch menu was quite broad. And we had a cheese steak sub. Which was very well portioned and Definitely enjoyable.Having used the Norfolk Passport, the price was quite fair aswell. We will be going back for an evening meal at some point.

Went to the Jazz Night with friends. Attentive staff who made sure that the experience was as enjoyable as possible. Volume of the band was spot on where we were- despite being around a corner, we were still able to hear the fab musicians perfectly. Food as always was incredible!

Good, honest, ‘pub style’ food. Staff were friendly although could have been a little more attentive. It may have just been that we were in the corner of one of the smaller areas of the restaurant. Decent value and would recommend if visiting the area.

Unfortunately we spent half an hour waiting in a queue before it even showed any signs of moving. The deli was bustling and looked really busy, although the restaurant had a couple of empty tables but still could not seat anyone in the queue. Sadly cannot comment on the food (which we have heard is very good), as we ended up making a booking elsewhere.

On the face of it this looked good for eating out if you have allergies. We booked well in advance with our admittedly tricky allergies submitted with the booking acknowledging that it may not be able to be 100% possible. However, we received a call only a few hours before we were due to eat and were told the chef had decided he couldn't cater for us. Left us no time to make alternative arrangements. Really disappointing to be let down so late. If you're planning to eat here and you have allergies then suggest you have a back up plan as you may be cancelled late in the day. Poor.

This is a posh hotel, come deli come informal restaurant. It is a lovely place to eat, full of character, good wholesome well cooked food with an extensive menu and genuine friendly service. They cater well for kids too. I wish more places like this existed.
