Dave's Fish Restaurant in North Norfolk

Well worth the visit to Dave's 3 hours car journey for the best fish & Chips I ever had. Batter on the cod was delicious and new potatoes chips were very good. Can't wait till holiday in late July.

Had a meal in the restaurant today. Regular Haddock, chip's and curry sauce. Pot of tea. Cost £ 11.30. Portion size was enough for me. Nice batter, boneless fish, fresh tasty chips. Enjoyed the tea. Pleasant , friendly staff. Lots of folk waiting in takeaway part. Clean dining area with humorous mural on wall. Clean, modern toilet with baby breath hand drier. Closed 7 pm. Chippy prices rising fast. Very small threshold on door to dining room from street. Nice meal.

Been 3 times now this year, and I still vote it as the best fish and chips restaurant in Norfolk. The Dave's special is wonderful, you get a choice of fish, chips, a side (beans, mushy peas or garden peas), bread and butter plus a drink for £10.80. The batter on my plaice was so light and melt in the mouth gorgeous. The whole plate full was cleanly cooked and was not greasy at all. It is just wow. The staff are so friendly, service is so quick. We always eat in the restaurant, the place is kept to a high standard of cleanliness, even the toilets are lovely. Top marks all round!

Had the Dave special which was good value - reasonable portion but not massive. This came with fish and chips, bread, a side and a drink. The quality of the food was good, the batter was crispy, tasted good and was not too greasy. All of the food had a lot of flavour and was well cooked. Service was very efficient and friendly too. One of the nicest chip shops around here.

Today my wife & I had the best cod & chips here we've had for years. Great value for money. Served by a very pleasant young lady too! Go elsewhere at your risk!

Fabulous fish and chips. I asked for scampi because recent fish and chips had left me disappointed. They cook scampi fresh and I was not willing to wait the 6 minutes so I opted for Haddock. Thank goodness the scampi takes 6 minutes, I had the best haddock and chips I've had in an age. The boys were courteous and efficient. An all round first rate job and product. Try them, you won't be disappointed.

Wanting a fish and chip meal in sheringham? Look no further then Dave's fish bar and restaurant, we ordered the special and special it was, two full sized cod yes that's two full sized cod, lovely chips and proper mushy peas not the tinned rubbish you find in many chip shops nowadays. The special also comes with bread and butter and a soft drink of your choice all for the bargain price of £10.80. Service was excellent full marks to the staff will certainly visit Dave's fish bar again.

Excellent portion of chips... for a horse !Daves special was great value and delicious. Much better than other chip shops in the area, who give you barely enough chips to feed a mouse.They even treated my dog to a free plain sausage. Will be returning.

We called in for lunch and it was just superb. The chips were hot, crispy on the outside and smooth on the inside. I had Haddock and it was perfectly cooked, creamy, and flavoursome. The staff were very pleasant and attentive.

Updated review , ate in today and had Daves Special for £10.30 , consisting of Haddock , Chips , Beans , Bread & Butter , Coffee .The chips looked a little undercooked and the fish seemed to be wet under the batter , tasted ok , but didnt seem upto the usual high standard when i have takeaway . The service was good and speedy .Very good quality fish and chips , haddock and chips £7 , always quick service , the only negative thing I can say is that they don't have a card payment , so its cash only , but plenty of cash machines on the high street 👍👍👍
