Gallery Bistro in North Norfolk
Where is Gallery Bistro?
🏠 Shambles Cafe Bar Bistro, 6 Market St, North Walsham NR28 9BZ
"Shambles Cafe Bar Bistro is situated in the heart of North Walsham and serves locally sourced, fresh cooked food, with a Mediterranean / Middle Eastern twist. Shambles is a welcoming and beautiful space with a large cafe and bar, a hidden courtyard with outside seating and a large and relaxing drawing room filled with comfortable sofas and antique rugs. Shambles is all about local. From the ingredients they use to the family who run it, from the builders who renovated it to the passionate staff. Shambles, quite simply, showcases this part of Norfolk at its very best. To some it’s a cafe, to some it’s a bistro and to others it’s a well stocked bar. Shambles caters for all from morning through to night - enjoy!"

Their strap line is ‘probably the best cappuccino outside of Rome’, most definitely time to scrub this off the wall. Visited with a simple order for coffee and was greeted with watery brown sludge and a side order of burnt milk. There was an empty unfriendly atmosphere with none of the patrons showing any signs of either social distance or mask wearing, there was no protection for the staff and the barman came and served within the 1 meter without a mask. On seeing the conditions within I ordered to go and the drink tasted as bleak as the place it’s self. The grind was either over poured or under doseEd leaving you with a large measure of brown water topped with overheated milk.

Welcoming atmosphere. Great coffee and Danish pastries. Clean toilet facilities. Lovely place to meet a friend.

Good prices, Dog friendly and great for all sport events as there is screens every where, and lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Lovely staff and great coffee! Only one note - wish they offered more milk options!

Lovely toastie, although no veggie option, really nice outdoor seating, although spoilt by lots of passing cars, but naff espresso.

Staff rude and the shocking attitude of asking if they cater for dairy intolerance. It's not a disease and it's getting more common now. We shall not be returning ever again. It's quite easy to make a sandwich you just take out the butter.

The entry fee is a little pricy (after 11pm), however the staff are super friendly. I don't go often because its more expensive than most places, however I don't really think about how to most efficiently kill myself whilst I'm there, so there's a positive. :)

Bottom of the barrel ..San miguel...should never been served it....the place was last decorated in the 1960s....smells of old books...rotten cigarette butt's in bucket..outside....not a welcoming entrance.....would not recommend to holiday visitors...and as for the folk club (on a sunday)more like the Blair witch project...But that's just my opinion! If you are 60 and above this will suit u to the ground !

Nice, independent place offering a varied choice of food and drinks. Freindly staff. Sporting events are often televised here. Unsurprisingly, drinks not as cheap as at the nearby Wetherspoons but makes for a change from the standard chain experience.

Delicious, wholesome, clean, and beautiful food including gluten free options make this my favourite place for lunch. Bonus: friendly service and original art!
