Golden Fish & Chips in North Norfolk

Fish obviously frozen as always seems to taste very 'fishy' size of fish looks huge until batter removed then cut very thin. Prices recently increased substantially. May not even be COD?

Always welcoming, and quality food. Love it for a quick evening cheat, or a whole family treat.

Service was slightly unwelcoming initially but the food was actually very good. Sausage cooked to order, fish cake, chips fresh from the fryer and peas - all great.

We had some chips from this shop today, which tasted of old oil and a little under cooked. The fish cake was also greasy and the chicken pie, whilst hot was not cooked. Service was quick and pleasant, shame the food did not match.

been going for years but not again, the ketchup was disgusting. not just cheap but it was like a water down jam or something and the burger made me feel sick. always lived this chip shop but wont be returning again.

Visited several times, all my family now visit, great fish and chips! Really big portions which we like, friendly staff and the best prices! Better than any you’d find along the coast!

Can't fault the food from this place. It's not expensive. Decent sized portions, when you order large, you get large. Everything tastes good, the cod, the battered sausages, the fish cakes, the chicken nuggets, and most importantly the chips are spot on. This is one of our favourite fish and chip shops.

Medium haddock and chips, cooked freshly and didn't take long, tasty and lovely and was nice and hot even still by time I got to by the river where I ate it, staff were polite too

HUUGGGEEEE portions!! Absolutely fantastic for the price, £5.50 deal for a cod and chips with a sauce is brilliant.The service was incredibly quick, we were in and out of the store in about 5 minutes.The fish was moist, the batter wasn't niether too thick nor too thin and the chips were very rustic and tasty! Worth driving from Foulsham for!
