Holt Fish Bar in North Norfolk

After reading the reviews we thought we would give it a go, the premise's were clean and staff friendly, asked to wait about 15 minutes for our order which wasn't a problem as we knew it would be cooked from fresh, sadly disappointed with what I paid £35 for, it looked and tasted like it was reheated so afraid we will not be returning.

Great Fish and chips. Meaty and cooked perfectly. After moving to the south coast, its fish and chips like this that draw me back.

Brilliant can't fault this place, clean ,good hygiene standards, fish and chips beautifully cooked and fresh. Good service nice and polite. A was lovely just what we needed. With the tea all was extremely good.

Great fish and chips, the fish was so large you could call it a whale. One large fish and chips was enough to split between two people. Cooked to perfection, batter light and bubbley with no excess oil on the paper when we got home, chips were crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Great service, was asked if we wanted salt and vinegar, but I prefer to put my own on when I get home.

The wife and I shared a large cod, large chips and battered sausage, and it was delicious. I'm not usually a big fan of fish n chips as they can be quite greasy. Considering we were the last customers, (nothing left in the glass cabinets on the counter), they whisked up a perfect battered cod which was nice and lightly crunchy. And we got proper chips, no scraps. Very nice 👌

Every time we can me up to Norfolk on holiday we head here for dinner on our first night. Friendly staff, happy to answer questions about the fish on offer and recommend as needed. And the chips. Oh boy. They are something special. They taste so good.Everything is cooked to order, not a single piece of food sat on the hot plate, so takes 10-15 minutes. But you can get 30 mins free parking in the council car park round the corner. Or parking is free there after 6pm.We’ve been enjoying it for four years running and never disappoints.Cash only but great value.
