Really lovely place and staff. Of course, had to have crab 🦀 which was lovely. Really decent portions but would have preferred some more flavour on the salad and chips. The crab was lovely tho!

We tried this place today after a last minute booking for 7 of us! They accommodated us all with plenty of room. After ordering our drinks (which were fairly priced and of good quality) we had a look through the menu.. a good selection of food with enough options to please all of our party, me and my partner decided to go for the crispy beef, slat and pepper squid starters followed by the mixed grill and seafood grill (with an extra crab because why not!? ) the food was OUTSTANDING!! Some of the best seafood we have had in the UK and second to none in the area. Soo much so, we had to make a half time re order to top up on squid. The staff were very friendly, professional and attentive and even helped us out with some tourism tips! Highly recommended by me and all in our party.. must visit place in Cromer!

Came here as the "crab pot cafe" was closed with no notice and we wanted crab today. Had the crab salad. Food was perfectly fine. Crab was decent as expected. Little short measure on the coke drink but apart from that all good. Service speed was about 15minutes from ordering at lunch which was OK. Overall it was decent enough .

If Surf n turf is your thing then this could be the restaurant for you in this quiet seaside town. The menu is basic with seafood and steak. The seafood is fresh and the steak is self cooked on a heated stone. Only complaint was the stone wasn’t quite hot enough and the theatre of it felt a bit gimmicky. The waiting staff are nice and attentive. Decor is a basic however, don’t let the put you off going. The restaurant is often fully booked and it is advised to book in advance.

We had dinner in this restaurant on the 25th of March 2022 and we were not impressed at all. We ordered one fish and chips and one half a lobster on the hot rock. The lobster was way too small as a main dish, really tiny. With the main bulk of the course being the chips that were NOT freshly maid but were heated up. This is just not acceptable for the level of restaurant. Fish and chips as well were mediocre, nothing special at all with the same stale chips - much worse than one can get from a typical Fish and Chips takeaway. Not a great experience and definitely would not recommend. They make a sing and dance about this concept of the hot rocks but the food is just not good enough.I am surprised to read so many good reviews. What kind of standards these reviewers just against?Response to the owner:We did not say anything about not liking the food for obvious reasons. What would you do? You did not have any other food. We had no wish to listen to your excuses ore explanations. What was the point? Look at what you are doing here. Instead of saying "thank you for your feedback, we will try to improve", you are giving excuses why we should not have said what we said. Unbelievable. We are not idiots to start this conversation with you in person when we were having our dinner. If the lobsters are small, you need to put two halves into the order. If they are expensive, then you need to raise the price accordingly, not to serve your customers 3 small bites - this is what I had. I did not mind at all paying more. But I would prefer to have a dinner instead of a teaser. We left a tip because we consider tipping as part of the restaurant visit cost, not as a sign of good quality. People that served us deserve wages even if the owners or chefs are not making great food. We distinguish good and bad places by never going to bad ones and leaving reviews.Maybe your chips were made from scratch, it is even worse because they were just were very poorly made. Really lame taste and not crispy.

My wife’s first visit to Cromer and she found this amazing restaurant!! We opted for the platter for two, as the food is all fresh sadly lobster was not available and some delicious prawns were served instead.I highly recommend the scallops and crab, but everything was delicious and cannot be faulted.Didn’t take any pictures as we were too busy enjoying the delicious feast…When you go please save pace for the lumpy bumpy cake. It’s a delicious layer cake which you will not want to share….Will definitely be back.

The best in town. 4 days we couldn't book a table because so many people. I recommend!

The restaurant is basic looking but the food is high quality fresh produce. We ordered the “hot rocks” which is a hot plate of rocks to cook your own food - we had scallops, king prawns, sea bass with dipping sauces and garlic butter and also the hot Mediterranean “salad” which is roasted veg like courgettes, carrots, mushrooms and peppers with some wine. The fish is super fresh and so tender. All was delicious especially the sea bass with the veg. Bravo. Highly recommend… also recommend a reservation. The restaurant is very small so 30 seats approx. Afterwards go to the pier with some bacon and fish for crabs. Nets and lines sold on the pier.

This was a last minute booking but we were lucky to get seats on a Saturday lunchtime. This is definitely a cafe, and simple in its decor but we were there for the food, and the food did not disappoint! While in Cromer we opted for the crab, in fact the whole seafood platter rather than the actual hot rocks and steak. For us though, this was a plentiful portion for two, it was fresh and tasty. A simple cafe with delightful food.
