One of our favourite Chinese takeaway meals ever!On a weekend break in Stalham, my wife and I decided to order a takeaway one evening. There was quite a choice as there are 3 Chinese takeaway restaurants (nearly) next to each other on Stalham High Street. We looked at various reviews and decided to order here as they offered some favourite dishes the others didn't (crispy chilli beef and Szechuan prawns), despite some not-so-great reviews - mainly related to portion size and waiting time.I cannot understand these poor reviews, as our experience was outstanding! We arrived at the shop on Sunday evening around 6.30pm. From placing the order, the takeaway was handed to us in about 10 minutes. We were back at our rented chalet within another 5 or so minutes and the food was still lovely and hot and absolutely full of flavour. The portions were huge, especially the egg fried rice and Singapore chow mein! We both ate our fill and there was enough left for a light meal each for the following evening.I would recommend giving the May Sum a try. We will definitely be back when we return to Stalham.

Very rude staff. Ordered meal, got an empty plastic tub shoved in my face with no explanation. Had credit card in my hand, got told cash only, realised tub was for the cash. Didn't bother to go further, left and ordered from Chinese next door apple tree. I have never met with such rudeness

We had this on our visit to Stalham. Really nice flavours, big menu, lots of vegetarian options and not too oily like a lot of Chinese can be! i recommend. :) x

I had a Chinese from here with my family. My king prawn with water chestnuts and bamboo was very nice and my dad's king prawn chop suey was one of the best he had ever tasted. However my sister's chicken curry was not nice. Thick sauce that tasted like a mixture of five spice and flour. Apart from that everything was extremely nice. Would return in the future.

Would not recommend. Incredibly slow service because they lost our orders twice, paired with abysmal customer service and were very happy to say to you, the customer, how chaotic it is to work there. Food took almost 1 hour but there was no warning it would take this long, and ultimately the food was mediocre at best. But she complimented my looks so I guess that makes up for it.

Good selection of dishes Food ready very quickly. Food nice and hot. Especially enjoyed sweet and sour chicken balls.

This place has improved and is now better than before. The reason is things move on to change so I hope everybody would give this a try if you think about it it's hard to make an restaurant 5 ratings so that's why people try harder along the way of making an successful place if any place is terrible to you think about how well it will improve in the future but that is only possible if you give it a chance so that it could be what you want it to be. If this review is helpful to you then I advise you to rate this place 2 or higher. If you miss the old may sum or any place then as I keep saying things move on and you should enjoy what surprises life will bring to you.
