What a lovely chip shop. The owner was is incredibly friendly and had an in joke with all of his locals. The food was freshly cooked and when I made a small mistake in my order he changed it without any fuss. Lovely. :-)

Nice fish and chips if you're in the area. A covered outside seating area is a real bonus on a nice day.

I didn't rate this chippy highly until this new boss took over, I now know him as Jac and Oh boy has he turned this chippy around. Best fish and chips for miles and prices do not reflect the enormous portions. Why pay silly parking and tourist prices along the Norfolk coast (that's if you can find a space) when you can park directly outside Mr Chips.

Large outside area (sheltered from the weather) with comfy chairs. Large portion of chips was massive. Speedy service. Good chips. What's not to like?

First time trying Mr Chips in Fakenham and I'm impressed. The food was lovely and fresh. The chips were amazing! Portion sizes were massive too. Would definitely come here again

Food was OK but my daughters pie was cold. Wife took it in only to barked at "how is it cold"....it was only 2 mins topps since she had left the store as we were eating in the car park. The guy behind the counter threw the pie in the bin aggressively trying to intimidate my wife. He gave her the the pie straight out the microwave without putting it a bag...presumably to burn her hands. Shocking service

Been coming here for many years now, still the best takeaway around. Our kids have grown up visiting Mr Chips whilst on holiday, and now they have their own kids they’ll be visiting too!

Plenty of parking at mr chips, wheelchair friendly access and eating area inside and out. A small shop and very clean, and not cluttered. I was suprised to be told when i went up to order my cod, chips and fishcake. That they only accept cash, no card payments.I don't really know any shops now days that still do this?.The food is cooked to order. Depending on how busy the shop is, my food took about 10 minutes for it to be ready. So not bad. But at that time it was quiet. I was the only one there. The order was put in a paper bag.The food was well warped and very hot even after 20 minutes. I hope the picture does it justice. Because it was very nice, the batter on the fish was light and crisp. The fish was well cooked, the chips were crispy on the out side and fluffy inside. The fish cake for me was ever so slightly over cooked but im picky.Over all very lovely food and great service. The workers are very polite and helpful. The price is spot on, the quality of the food is good.My only criticism is the fishcake was slightly over done and that i was very lucky that day i had cash in my wallet. It's time to have a card payment device. Every shop has one. Everybody pays with card. Its quicker and easier. If i didn't have cash, they would of lost a customer. I wonder how many mr chips has lost this way?Yes i would recommend mr chips.
