Norfolk Wildlife Trust Cley Marshes Visitor Centre in North Norfolk

Smashing views across the marshes whilst enjoying food from the cafe. Good choice - snacks rather than restaurant - and served quickly. Nice coffee.

Nice place. Plenty of stuff for sale in the gift shop but as with most places now, post covid, quite pricey. We had food and drink from the cafe which was enjoyable. Wife went mad with her debit card buying gifts and I paid for the nosh. Enjoyed visiting the hides on a very cold and windy March day.

All the exhibits and interactivity are unavailable due to covid restrictions. Unfortunately you don't find this out until you've paid for entry. Happy to consider our entry fee and parking as a donation to their charitable work, but felt it should be explained beforehand

Great place to explore and a nice visitor centre with good size car park.

Helpful, friendly staff. Interesting exhibition. Nice things in shop. Recommend the walk around the reserve along shingle beach.

Early morning visit to the Bishop Hide. Great views of the Marsh Harriers, one gave us a close up before flying straight over the hide.Little grebe caught a fish in the small channel right in front of the hide...of course we had left our cameras at home this morning because it was dark and wet.Didn't eat at the visitor centre, but the toilets were clean.

Highly recommended for an accessible and gentle day out watching the wild birds visiting the salt marshes and reedbeds. You can access the hides by boardwalks and a well kept compacted hoggin path. We took the helpful advice of one of the volunteers and had a 4 mile walk around all the hides and out to the sea and back.Aside from the water fowl and seabirds we saw Marsh Harriers and even spotted a Peregrine Falcon doing a high speed dive to take a Lapwing! In the waterways we were lucky enough to spot a Water Vole and a gorgeous little Shrew.There’s a good visitor centre with car parking and a nice cafe that serves excellent coffee & walnut cake!Handy tip; Buy your entry ticket in the visitors centre when you arrive (£5) and they will give you a ticket for free parking.

Unfortunately, a lady who worked there was very rude and made us feel quite unwelcome in the cafe area. I think we were in the wrong place but it was our first visit so we didn't know what to do.However, its a wonderful place and an elderly lady near the front desk spoke with passion about the reserve and helped us on our way, she was lovely and clearly cared a lot about the reserve, the grounds were beautiful.

Lovely views from the cafe where we had lunch. I couldn't have what was on the menu so they adapted a meal for me. They were so helpful and friendly. Lots of space in the car park . There are plenty of picnic benches to eat of you opt for the away.
