Enjoyed a really tasty cream tea here. Generous sized pot of tea for two was also very welcome!

Thoroughly enjoyed lunch here, quality coffee and a mega ham sandwich with there speciality in house cooked ham 😋 .Friendly staff and efficient service.

Disappointing service form this venue. Arrived Friday 3.45pm, told they had closed early due to lack of staff: understandable. Returned Sunday around 1.30pm for coffee after lunch (staying in the village full board), to be told it was food AND drink only. Not for want of trying to support a small independent business, I’ll have to take my custom elsewhere.

Wonderful tea, coffee and food. Just when you think it can’t get any better, the staff was just as outstanding as what they serve. Linda and Sam are just as personable as they are funny. So glad we stumbled into this adorable place! Definitely one of the highlights of our entire trip.

Had a lovely time having tea and a sandwich at the read & digest today. Beautiful bloomer bread lush ham with tomato and mayo alongside crisps and a few slices of fruit. Proper decaffinated tea ( actually tasted like tea) in a teapot and china cups.Friendly service and they are dog friendly too. All in all the best sandwich and tea had for a very longtime.

Wow! Simply magnificent. This cafe has so much character and the food is exceptional. Staff are very friendly. We would highly recommend!

Gorgeous place. Soft fresh thick cut bloomer sandwiches stuffed with high quality fillings. Lovely staff, we were lucky that they were quiet enough to chat & share a little of their interesting lives. Felt like we had gone to a friends for lunch. Local people also friendly…we’d be here every day if we were locals too!

When we arrived in the village we noticed this amazing looking place and knew we had to go back when they were open the next day. When we arrived we were greeted so warmly by the members of staff and seated upstairs in the most lovely room surrounded by books. Nothing was to much trouble. Me and my partner shared a cheese scone which we didn't manage to photograph as it was gone so quickly! I highly suggest anyone in the area comes and checks this place out. We will be back :)

A lovely traditional tea room with the added interest of a second hand bookshop. Right in the Heart of the village by the old pump with outside tables if the weather is nice. Great service and food from very friendly staff. If they are not too busy ask about the old shop cupboards!
