Great place for breakfast in Cromer. We stumbled upon The Rocket Cafe as walked along the Norfolk Coastal Path on a wet and windy Tuesday morning. We followed the signs to the lift up to the second floor and sat at a window table looking out and over the beach - watching the fishermen bringing their boats onshore. We ordered a coffee and hot chocolate, both were hot and very tasty (very good quality chocolate drink). We both ordered the mackerel on toast with poached eggs and it was absolutely scrumptious.Such simple, quality, ingredients cooked and served well will always be a winner and this was just what we wanted and loved each mouthful.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the great little gem.

Initially ÂŁ15 for a small crab (pictured on the platter) was outrageous but actually was surprisingly filling. Staff really laid back and friendly, but the eat in area was tired and looking forward to a deep clean as there were a lot of grubby spots that didn't look great. Food presentation was lovely, but there was rust on all of the kids high chairs and many missing the latches for safe seating- none of them cleaned from previous residents. Understanding that they are in salty areas, it's more important to clean and protect things and although the service was lovely, a cleaner restaurant would be great, and a baby changing unit!

Absolutely delicious english breakfast (called the Rocket breakfast)- one of the best I’ve ever had!! Mushrooms sautéed in thyme, juicy sausage, perfectly buttered Granary toast. All with a view of the crashing waves and super friendly service with a smile. Will be back tomorrow!

Great food and drink, lovely friendly staff. We shared a sandwich & scone , good portions. Lovely view out to sea from alot of the tables. Gets busy, obviously word has got around so give it a visit if you're in the area you won't be disappointed.

Highly impressed with the facilities, choices for adult drinks, snacks and kids menu. Plenty of people having food which is served to the table. Everything is ordered at the till and socially distanced queuing spots are available. One way system in force which is clearly marked out. Tables for 2,4 and 6 are all available both inside and outside. Very comfortable seating and I requested a large americano but with only a single shot (as against 1 shot small, 2 shots large). This was done without any problems. Milk was brought for me to add, as I had requested only a small amount. Been again out of season and still equally good. Used the lift up to the café and again up to 3rd floor. This saved a slog uphill for a friend who was visiting and using a walker. Friend was also very happy with the choice of venue

4 stars for the location and the view. Only had coffee and cake which was about average. Cake sponge was excellent but, unfortunately, with artificial butter cream. The menu for the main dishes looked very good and varied and the dishes themselves looked like good portions and we'll presented.

This place is amazing. Do not be fooled by the A&E looking entrance on the ground floor. As soon as I took a bite of the mackerel fish steak and poached egg on crisp brown toast, the bar for a good fish meal moved considerably higher for me. The options on the specials board were all very nice too. All washed down with freshly squeezed orange juice and a slice of heaven in their Victoria sponge cake. All overlooking the backdrop of Cromers charming sea front.

Lunchtime was very busy but staff got us a table in no time. Food delicious and served promptly. We had fried chicken strips in wraps with salad leaves and chips.Covid safety precautions in place. Would recommend .
