Absolutely brilliant, I couldn't fault it. Lovely staff very happy. Food was fantastic and one of the best views you could ask for

Great views from the first floor windows looking across the harbour watching the trawlers unloading their catch. Great starter of scallops and ham, main course of cod and chips was less impressive. Batter wasn't crispy enough for my liking.

We went to Sands restaurant Saturday evening for an Anniversary meal the staff were great but the chef was either incompetent or having a bad day I ordered the lamb which came out very very rare not how I like it so I asked if it could be cooked more when it came back a short while later it was just as rare and I was told the chef would not cook it any more, I think the chef needs to learn that they should do what the customer requests it is not his decision how I have my meat cooked. Interestingly there was a lady on the next table having the same problem and did not eat hers either! I was given the opportunity to choose something else from the menu which I did I chose the scampi which when it came out was not very warm and when I asked my husband who is a Head Chef to check it he confirmed it was raw inside, my husband had the Sea Bass which was cooked perfectly and he enjoyed but after that I decided not to have anything anniversary meal ruined. As I said the staff were great but the Chef needs to get his head out of his backside and listen to the customer.

Wanted a day out in Norfolk with lovely sea views and some tasty seafood, and finding Sands gave us exactly that experience 🙌Found this restaurant on Google, the Thursday before, spied the seafood platter on the menu, as well as some other tasty sounding treats .... So Saturday drove 112miles and was worth every mile 👌 seafood was lush and washed down with some local apple juice ☺Place had amazing views, was cozy, but felt spacious and clean. Service was really good, with lovely friendly staff.Would highly recommend and I will go back to try the burger at least ☺

Huge variety of fresh seafood, deliciously prepared at overall fair prices. Great view from the window seats as the restaurant is on the 1st floor, but your need likely to reserve a table if you want to sit at the window in the evening.

Really good view, service and nice food. Slightly pricey for the quality but I think what you'd expect for how tourist central Wells is in the area. I had the burger, kids had pasta, wife had Scampi and chips and all were grand!

Definately a meal with a view! Food amazing and the staff friendly and welcoming. Will be returning next time in Norfolk. Highly recommend.

Visited Saturday night. Nice room & decoration but let down by food and service.Main server was too over friendly, which some guests probably love, but it was too much for us.Starters were very good (Soup & pate)Mains didn't hit the mark (crab and seabass) okay, not Saturday night standard. Green beans served with fish were brownish and too much dressing on the crab dish.Honey textures dessert was too sweet. A very pretty dish, but needs to be leveled out by something else like a passionfruit. The honey pannacotta also quite rubbery.Banana sticky toffee was okay.Would try other places rather than this one again.

A perfectly okay restaurant. We asked to reserve a table a a week or so in advance and were told they only had availability late in the evening. When we arrived it was mostly empty, a little disappointing to have such a late booking when they clearly had lots of space earlier. Perhaps they keep it open for walk-ins.The specials board included the likes of prawn cocktail, and salmon en croute, little in the way of locally caught seafood. The sea bass was a little too greasy, the seafood platter okay albeit underwhelming, little truly fresh food and a well overcooked piece of tunaService similarly, okay. Taking an order was fast but trying to get any service later on was very hard indeed. If your idea of a seafood restaurant is fish and chips it's perhaps for you, not so for us.

Decent place for seafood. One end of the restaurant has a sea view, though all those tables were reserved. Each table has hand sanitiser. But the restaurant was a bit stuffy with no windows open.
