After a morning trip on the river, this place is a great stop to have lunch, a good selection of food to choose from and after lunch a chance to view what is on offer in the gift shop with lots of unusual items

Sat in a cosy corner next to a window, had a lovely coffee with a cake, there are plenty of choice in the shop to choose from, jams, biscuits, drinks and freshly cooked pastry.

Had coffee and cake here whilst on a walk. Very pleasant shop. Friendly and helpful staff. Good sized portion of cake. I would recommend this establishment.

Lovely little shop serving delicious food... We only had take out but the Hornish pasties are to die for. I still haven't eaten the unfeasibly large scotch egg with black pudding yet😂. Loads of quirky gifts on offer as well as jams, chocolates and cakes etc. Definitely recommend a visit. The lady with dark hair and grey top who served us was lovely too.

Was really looking forward to visiting this place. We did walk in about 4.10pm but it did say now open till 5pm Mon-Sat. Asked to look at menu and was informed only tea and cake, nothing hot as ovens are off. Not a smile of welcome. I said I'd order a cream tea If they have clotted cream. She said yes so we sat down. I then asked if we could have something cold like quiche or baguette and she said we could have quiche but no sandwich as no bread. I said I'd have quiche and cream tea. I went to loo and hubby just ordered quiche so I went to let the girl know that I also wanted a cream tea. She just said we are closing at 4.30 but I'll get it. I didn't mention the 5pm sign on door. She just wasn't welcoming. Well I was still eating and drinking my tea at 4.30 and fortunately wasn't asked to leave. I think we left about 10 mins later. I must add the scone was huge and delicious just a shame about the reception we received.
