We’ve been to this place a couple of times now for a treat and it has been such a great experience. Great ambience, the waitstaff are fantastic and the food even better. Lynne who served us was exceptional and made a birthday meal even better! Couldn’t recommend or rate this place more highly. Feel free to ignore the bad reviews based on people’s limp appetite for odd artwork, it’s totally fine, not offensive.

Yet again unable to eat in the restaurant as fully booked weeks in advance. Had to make do with bar snacks in the lovely beer garden. Views over the adjoining park land made a beautiful backdrop, grazing deer an additional touch. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Nice place. Beautiful location and view outside with deer roaming free etc, but shabby inside. Trying to be all things to all people as has a pool table. But small bar area as most of it is taken up with a pool table. Would go for a pint there but that's about it. I think if it was spruced up it would be so much nicer and a goldmine.

We spent two nights staying in a coach house room and dining. The room was charming and was very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the guests sitting area in the main building (where the restaurant is located). Access to the grounds was very nice with roaming deer. The dining experience was superb! Breakfast was included and that was perfectly acceptable with a good variety of choice. If up in northern Norfolk we have no hesitation in recommending both the accommodation and dining.

Really confused as to how to rate this. Location is definitely 5 star. Pub atmosphere was 5 stars. Food quality was really good. We ate from the bar menu. Both of us had burger and chips. Presentation was really disappointing and could have been so much better. Burger just placed in a brioche bun on it’s own. Slice of tomato and gherkin on the side. A few chips and a bit of coleslaw just spooned onto the plate. But the food was really tasty. I’d question whether to book the main restaurant based on that which seems a shame.

Beautiful surroundings as it is set within a deer park. Food was good although the pork belly starter was a little underwhelming. Lamb shoulder and Aberdeen Angus burger were excellent, as were the desserts. Service was okay but nothing to write home about. Good range of mains and wines of all values. Wine also available by 500ml caraf which was a nice touch.

Loved everything about it, staff were helpful and the food was stunning. Worth a visit just for the decor and art work alone. We enjoyed a stunning rib of beef and a lovely bottle of red. Will be heading back soon!

We decided to book a dining room here as our wedding reception venue. We found Gunton Arms to be very welcoming and catered for all of our needs. They gave us access to a space to have pre drinks before dinner and looked after us very well throughout. As for the food, we paid £85 per head and had what was referred to as a feast. It was a three course experience with a ham hock terrine starter with smoked salmon, bread and beetroot salad. Main was essentially a roast dinner, but fit for a god. Best beef I've tasted in my life. Cheese and crackers after which did not disappoint it was fantastic. They have rooms available to stay overnight and I'd highly recommend them for a memorable experience and to taste the finest food in the area. We look forward to booking a room ourselves for our first anniversary.

What a wonderful place, the food, the staff, the wine were just all perfect. This is quite unique hidden gem but I would 100% recommend going out of your way. The venison steak and the sausages blew my mind, so much so we went back on the Sunday for the Friday night experience - it delivered.

My wonderful girlfriend brought me here for a birthday dinner. The staff were great, the food was superb and they made a real effort, because it was my birthday.A card on the table, Happy birthday icing on the dessert crockery, a really nice touch. The venue is quite unique and we hope to stay there soon too.Highly recommended.
