The traditional roast was fine but the veggie option was tasteless unfortunately. And they had forgotten to record our booking. Fortunately they weren't too busy.

Walked in at 7.30pm on the off chance of getting a table. A warm welcome and a nice table in the restaurant straight away. The food & wine was superb. We had starters and two amazing fish dishes which were worthy of a Michelin Star. But the icing on the cake is how brilliant the staff are - it really does make a restaurant. Thank you all for making such a memorable night.

Fantastic sandwiches for lunch, choice of 3 real ales including a MILD (Mr Winters), which is fairly unusual. Mr Winters mild was lovely. Service from the two young men in front of house was excellent. Really enjoyed our lunch here, will be back.

Stopped for lunch and had two seasonal dishes, wild garlic, courgette and pea tagliatelle and wild garlic chicken and bacon, both lovely. Great friendly service. Would definitely return.

·

Great menu and service. The dining area was light and airy and the tables were well spaced. Plenty of parking with level access. Well worth a visit and we'll definitely be back.

A really lovely restaurant and bar. Such a friendly atmosphere. Staff were so accommodating and the food was splendid! Highly recommend it!

·

Lovely food, attentive staff, relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed celebrating my husband's birthday.

The staff were extremely polite, welcoming and friendly without being over the top. The food was superb and the prices were very reasonable. San Miguel- our favourite- was readily available so that was a big bonus. Lovely setting, would recommend.

Very disappointing. Was looking forward to taking my parents here for lunch as they’d eaten here a number of times.Food was all fried/pulled out of the oven with little local fresh produce and no imagination or inspiration. I can only assume that standards have slipped and/or the chef is either on holiday or has been furloughed. For the £93 we spent for lunch and drinks for 4 (one child) I’d rather have got fish and chips on the seafront and we would have had the same quality meal from our local Wetherspoons. On the plus side, the service was friendly enough and it’s a lovely venue in a sweet village.

Excellent restaurant, more than a cut above the rest in this area. Somewhat off the beaten track so you'll need a sat nav but well worth the effort. Imaginative menu and large portions. We had a huge goats cheese and beetroot salad and soused mackerel to start and excellent haddock and chips and chicken stuffed with black pudding for mains. Very attentive service and nice setting. Highly recommended
