The Star Inn & Restaurant in North Norfolk

Looked nice but they have an esrly closing so we could not hsve dinner there. Check timetable with the place directly and dont rely on the webpage

A really lovely pub/restaurant. We ended our holiday here and had an evening meal on the last night. The service from start to finish was excellent. Booking the table was easy and when we arrived we received a lovely warm welcome and were seated in a lovely room just off the bar. The steaks and burger were delicious and cooked to our liking well. My only criticism is they didn't have the steak sauce I ordered, but I didn't find out until the food arrived. It would have been good to know straight away and given the option to change my order if I'd wanted, as that was my main reason for choosing a steak (for the sauce). It also wasn't removed from the bill, but we mentioned this when paying and it was rectified straight away. Overall a really good experience and if we are in the area in the future we'd go back. Had Sunday lunch here March 2022. The staff very kindly slotted us in early as we had no booking.The dog was also invited in.We opted for the Sunday Roast which was a very large helping. It was unusual in that it was served with red cabbage.The service and staff were attentive and excellent. The guest real ale was very good (£3.95).Only reason not a 5 star is that the postcode NR12 0DJ confused my natnav and I spent 20 minutes looking for the pub.The correct postcode is NR12 0DN .. I would hope, an easy fix

Booked a room weeks ago, just been told allegedly doubled booked by a block booking. Cleanly no morals or business ethics, boiled us out even though we had made a deposit.I hope food and drink are a better standard than their disgraceful behaviour

Lovely atmosphe, staff friendly but food (Sunday lunch) only medioca. Large portions with choice of 3 meats. Roast potatoes white with brownedges.edges.

Fantastic place, really dog and people friendly. Great menu , delicious food.

We have just had the most lovely experience in the star.First class food cooked to perfection. At very reasonable prices.It has a good choice of beers ciders and ales.This is definitely not your usual pub food.Great choices on the menu make it difficult to decide what to have.The star is clean cosy and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere due to the owners.Our two dogs were made to feel really welcome which made our time there a pleasure.Thank you guys

Still a great little pub, three good real ales, the dinner and breakfast were brilliant, nice friendly staff , so quiet at night and very good for star watching.

Really lovely food. Well presented and lots of it. Lovely friendly staff. Lovely and warm in mid December what more could you ask for..? Highly recommend this little gem of a pub. It’s a must if you are visiting north Norfolk ….
