We came for Sunday lunch, it was very good. Plenty of choice, good portion size, hot and a reasonable price. The restaurant was very clean and spacious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The toilets were very clean. There is a very large car park

Great food; very helpful, including changing tables at the last minute to accommodate our dog coming along. Lovely & friendly staff. Would recommend.

Came here with friends and had a wonderful 3 course lunch. Absolute perfection. Don't miss out. Make sure you call ahead to book though as words getting out about this gem and they get booked up

Met up with friends for dinner, very accommodating with changing table sizes. Lovely staff who ensured that there was not an excessive wait between courses. Very nice menu and lovely to see some game options. Reasonably priced too.

Really wanted this to be brilliant because it’s our local when we’re in Norfolk but it just fails to deliver for me on the simplest things. This pub has changed hands a few times and undergone a renovation in recent years and it’s pretty nice inside but the layout is unusual. Some of the interior feels very much like a corridor which is not helped by the overwhelming height of the bar, it’s not ideal or very welcoming. It feels a bit like the Berlin Wall between you and the staff and creates the feeling of an alleyway inside the pub, not helped by the operating theatre brightness lighting. We joked with the previous owners when they had the bar re-done and they agreed it was crazily high and we’re going to get it lowered, but it changed hands again and that never happened. We visited a couple of weeks ago, mid-week so it was really quiet, for the first time in six months and I ordered a Gastropub favourite, a steak.I noticed the menu had no sauces for the steak on it so I asked and was told a flat “no we don’t do any sauces” which is a massive disappointment for me. The salad that come with it just looked like a few leaves and a bit of chopped onion dropped on the plate. A bit of balsamic vinegar drizzled over it might not have gone a miss.A sauce is very simple to create and a steak without one is very plain.I’ve had pubs knock me up a sauce in a few minutes before. Any decent chef should be able to do this without any issue. It soured the evening for me. Hopefully they will review their menu as a steak without sauce options is just very unusual, and perhaps lower the Berlin Wall and the lighting a touch.

Stayed here overnight after a trip to Fakenham races.Lovely setting. Helpful, friendly staff. Room spacious & spotlessly clean. Booked for evening dinner which was outstanding, beautifully presented & totally delicious. Breakfast next morning was equally as good, relaxed atmosphere with no rush to get you served & booked out. Whole place has a well cared for feel & staff are all genuinely attentive & seem happy to work there. Will def be rebooking for another stay 5 ☆

Staff were lovely and attentive. Surroundings are very nice. However the lighting was so bright, it was not conducive to a relaxing evening at the pub. The decor was quite weird, cushion covers on the wall?Toilets were lovely and clean. Food was fine but not a very varied menu and very expensive and small portions. No specials. Not a very good atmosphere, sorry!
