I booked a last minute stay via booking.com for Sunday night, I needed to check in later than stated on the website so I quickly messaged them through booking.com and they replied near enough straight away and accommodated my needs with ease. Upon check in I was taken to my room which was stunning! It was everything I needed and more. The decor was lovely, it was a clean and comfortable bed with en-suite bathroom. As a young female solo traveller I felt safe and at ease whilst staying at the Three Swallows. Breakfast was absolutely beautiful and nothing was a problem. I met two members of staff whilst I was staying and both were warm and friendly. The lady that took my breakfast order was a pleasure to speak to in the morning and I couldn’t have asked for anymore. I can’t wait to return. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Very nice venue, friendly staff. One of those hidden gems we found by chance. Good old-fashioned pub food and a beer or 2. Very happy.

We met family here who had recommended this pub for an evening meal. We had some decent beer - Adnams Ghost Ship and Timothy Taylor Landlord. The food was OK, but nothing exciting.

Unfortunately the Three Swallows was not a good experience. We booked a table got drinks and was than told there was no sunday roast left. The lady did come over with apologies . I think better communication needed.

Awful - ÂŁ28 for 2 portions of 6 scampi, frozen chips, hard peas, horrible tartare sauce and a quarter of lemon!! Scandalus price but like other eateries in Norfolk they are playing to the London set, well they may pay for rubbish but I certainly will not!! Frozen food at its worst, worth a swerve.

Fantastic pub to have our anniversary evening meal. The warmest of welcomes from hosts Susan and John and wonderful food. Glad we booked in advanced as hugely popular. Highly recommended.

Hidden Gem!!We have just spent two nights at the The Three Swallows in Cley. We arrived early evening on Friday after a 3 hour drive, Sue was there to provide a warm and friendly welcome. We were a bit worried about getting food but not a problem as residents get priority in the restaurant (more about the food later). We were shown to our room in the courtyard, which was clean and had everything you’d want (even biscuits). The room we had is not the biggest, but other than to sleep and have an ensuite what more do you need from a room. We had evening meal twice at the pub and both times the food was really good, it’s what I’d call good wholesome food, my only gripe would be there are too many seafood dishes on the menu – this was not a problem for my wife but I really don’t like seafood!! Breakfast was a delight, having the option to sit inside or outside, the food options are, if they have it you can get it for breakfast. We were not offered fruit juice which was a little disappointing but not the end of the world. Before I finish this I have to mention the garden, not the bit close to the pub but the one near the church, it is an amazing large peaceful area, ideal to while away an afternoon with a beer. Thank you to Sue and the team for looking after us so well (especially the lady who served breakfast, whose name I didn’t get). Would I stay here again, absolutely, and it won’t be that long before I’m back.

Friendly staff, good social distancing. Food hot and fresh. Unfortunately I asked for the Steak and Stilton pie (the pie of the week), could not taste any Stilton and the pie was half full of mushrooms, which I don't eat, instead of the steak which was noticeable by it's absence (although I must say it did taste of steak). Perhaps it wasn't the right pie. The rest of our party's dishes were fine but the lobster would have been better warmed. All the Drinks were excellent. The burger was good and the ham, egg and chips tasty.

We were a large family group of 7 and stopped on our walk for refreshment. The garden is absolutely beautiful and large enough for the tables to be very well spaced out and enough shade for all. Currently (July) they have service set up from an outdoor gazebo that you order from and it works very well. All staff were very helpful and an excellent range of drinks were on offer. We also had a delicious local ice cream to cool down! Definitely worth the walk a little out of the village centre.

Lovely pub in a quiet location. Dog friendly. Beautiful garden including fish pond and aviary. Easy parking and varied menu.
