Vernon Arms in North Norfolk

Visited the Vernon Arms for a family meal last Friday. There were 10 of us on the hottest day of the year including two kids. The Vernon Arms did not disappoint. Delicious food, great portions, but best of all, wonderful service from the staff who made us feel really welcome.

Lovely country pub. Service was good, food even better, prices very reasonable. There is a small car park at the front but better to go to the back where there is a larger car park.

What a find....out walking around and came across the Vernon Arms...you sometimes know when you walk into a decent proper pub !!Very friendly staff ...good selection of beer... The food looked great although we only had "cheesie chips !!" . Definitely return and spend longer next time....well worth a visit ...keep up the good work..

Really nice traditional country pub. Local atmosphere. Very good service. All staff friendly and helpful despite it being a very busy Sunday lunchtime. Food was very good quality, home produced and fresh, served hot to the table and good selection of beers. Not rushed or pressurised to leave the table at all. Definitely recommend and would visit again.

Very enjoyable meal which was piping hot. Two of us had black and tan pies the other had chicken and mushroom pie all served with chips and vegetables. For dessert we had treacle tart, chocolate brownie and ginger, walnut sponge all were delicious. Staff were very helpful. We will definitely be back.

Lovely big open fire. The food was delicious and the young barmaids and waitresses were very helpful and helped with food choices due to my allergies.We went for a drink at lunch and came back in the evening for food.The only negative was the older woman with the blonde shoulder length bob. Miserable, abrupt and bordering on rude when trying to talk to her.Get rid of her and the pub would be highly recommended and the chefs produced lovely food.

It has been some time since I was here for a lunchtime, but what a very warm welcome, very festive and the deep fried Brie - OMG it was gorgeous. Will be booking for an evening meal very soon, hope the fire is still well ablaze, super cozy

Wonderful food ..staff...and atmosphere...very friendly and accommodating at such short notice. .superb Sunday roast ..and fish and chips...will come again.

Really friendly staff and I loved the food. I asked for extra custard 'swimming' with my pud and they didn't let me down. All delicious and my first meal in a pub alone and felt very comfortable
