Wells Crab House Cafe in North Norfolk

Really interesting choice of fish dishes in particular as you would expect, but the meat dishes are also top class. The seafood platters are excellent and very well presented. The wine list has a great range of quality and out of the ordinary choices. Service was friendly and attentive without being fussy or intrusive. In short a real winner and we will definitely be back.

Really fresh seafood, nice atmosphere and the service was excellent. A bit pricey, but worth it. Bookings are highly recommended at the weekend. The sticky toffee pudding was an absolute delight.

Wow, Lunch yesterday was a truly fabulous eating experience. The staff were very professional, friendly and gave us excellent service throughout the meal. The food matched the service in excellence and our mussel starter was the best mussels I have ever eaten. Our main courses were also outstanding and the crab platter was incredible. Thank you to all involved for a memorable lunch. Would recommend Crab House to everyone and undoubtedly we will be back.

Outstanding restaurant, fabulous service, super charming and helpful. Special gluten and dairy free menu! Best seafood we've ever had. Perfect ambiance. Book well in advance, this is a well known secret gem! Can't wait to return!

What an excellent experience we had here! Well worth the 2 hour drive, and the advanced booking needed to get a table! Amazing prawn cocktail, awesome Ceab platter and amazingly friendly staff! Around recommend, will definitely be coming back in the near future!

Amazing seafood restaurant with fantastic staff of infectious enthusiasm! Service and meals are outstanding and it has been an absolute pleasure to dine in the restaurant.Don't miss out on their gin selection - the cherry gin with aguave flavoured tonic is just fantastic on a hot day.Book well in advance to get a table or go for their takeouts.

Absolutely amazing! Fabulous service, incredible food and super covid secure. We were so exceptionally lucky to get a spot here and it was such a lovely dining experience. There is so much care and pride that goes into this place and it shows. If you possibly can (and if they have space!) do go, it's really set the bar high! The lobster, oysters and scallops were absolutely wonderful, thank you so much! X

A must for anyone visiting Wells who loves seafood! Although be fair, it's worth travelling to Wells purely to go to the Crab House. There's an extensive food menu, but also a lengthy list of local gins, which was a pleasant surprise! The attention to detail is impressive, right down to what tonics pair best with certain gins to enhance different flavours. We had the oysters, lobster, crab and brown shrimp tart, scallop gratin and swordfish - all were excellent. Service was faultless, very friendly and knowledgeable. To cap it off, the interior is lovely too. It's rare to find somewhere that excels on all fronts (and we eat out a lot), genuinely couldn't fault our experience.

We were lucky enough to have lunch at this gem of a restaurant without booking ahead. If you are going to go I would definitely recommend booking a table so you aren't disappointed.The service was amazing and the ladies who waited our table were so friendly.The restaurant feels really Covid safe and the tables are well spaced out. The traffic light system for the toilets is great.The food was out of this world and so fresh. I was told by our server that the lobster was caught earlier in the day and you could definitely tell this.I'm so glad we came across this restaurant by chance and would highly recommend it.
