It might be the oldest pub in Norwich, but having to listen to a radio station in a cold pub, with kitchen chairs and tables to sit on isn’t my idea of fun. However, the locals fared better as they were sitting in a roped off area that looked more cosy!

Best pub in Norwich..Quaint, very old, authentic and a very warm welcome from landlady and bar staff. Exactly how a pub should be. Good quality food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended

What everyone's idea of an old English pub looks like brought to life. Packed. Fast service and a good pint of Guinness. Friendly crowd.

The Adam and Eve public house is conveniently situated next to a car park close to Norwich Cathedral. The sign proudly proclaims that it is possibly the oldest pub in Norwich. So after visiting the Cathedral it was nice to stop and enjoy a hot chocolate with an added shot of Woods Demerara Rum.

A superbly run pub that keeps a good cellar and pours a delicious ale. I only enjoyed a bar snack but those enjoying a full roast were no doubt as satisfied as me. Parking in abundance close by and a charming river walk nearby. Ten out of ten.

Very nice lunch of Mac and cheese and chip bowls with chilli and scampi for three of us. Not sure which staff were on with some of these reviews as we found everyone to be very friends. Good food and beer. Had to sit outside as inside wasn’t open but weather was nice so not an issue

The food was very nice and the staff were friendly. We sat outside as the weather was good but inside was very interesting, in a good way. Such an interesting old building. Definitely worth a visit and right next to a car park and the cathedral to boot, so in a very good spot.

I love this place. The history of a 1000 years of drinking at that same spot is wonderful. The building is very old and lovely to inspect. (It's not a 1000 years old)Now the important part; plenty of local ales that were very nice. I had the Mac and Cheese with bacon bits (there was loads) and a sprinkle of spring onions over the top, it was fantastic. The rest of the table I was with were very envious of my selection. Needless to say, I inhaled it. Gone in seconds. Omnomnomnom.Do visit this place for some good beer and lovely food and soak up the atmosphere of your fellow drinkers for the last 1000 years toasting your pint.

Popped in for an hour about 2pm today and enjoyed a pint or two while writing postcards and sheltering from the torrential rain. It was on my list of destinations for the day anyway, but sitting outside amongst the lovely flowers was off the agenda due to weather. A nice choice of ales and very friendly and helpful staff. I had already eaten, so couldn't try the menu, however there was a table nearby who were very complimentary (both in and out of the hearing of the staff) about the burgers, which the chef confirmed were home-made, and the macaroni cheese. So next time I will eat there for sure. I was offered an umbrella to take away with me when I left, which was incredibly kind, however my next stop was a church a few steps away, so might not have been in as much need as others. The people running the pub do really make a pub, in my opinion, and I felt very welcome. Beautiful building in a quiet location near the back of the cathedral and the law courts. Garden is lovely, but my photo doesn't do it justice because of the rain!

I've always loved the Adam and Eve. A really old pub with great beer and friendly staff. We sat outside, and with the brilliant sunshine it was an excellent way to spend a weekend. Reasonably priced drinks, with food options too
