Bam Bam in Norwich

Away for a few days in norwich with my partner. Went to mambo jambo last night and the food was absolutely amazing. A lovely, friendly, quirky diner with attentive staff. We will definitely be back!

Very big portions at very good prices. I had the veggie fajitas but they seemed to lack seasoning which was disappointing. Feels like they have too much on the menu. Perhaps their other dishes are more tasty!

Myself and my friend had a lovely meal here Friday night. Great food & great service! The frozen margheritas were amazing too. Can't wait to return again soon!

Terrible service and terrible food. Was a huge let down. We booked a table two days in advance, but when we arrived our names were not on the list (when I called the person on the phone repeated my name back to me, so I guess somehow our booking was not written down). We were seated anyway, which was great, but then waited for 25 minutes (kept trying to make eye contact with servers) before anyone took a drinks order. When the food arrived it was terrible quality. The rice tasted very bland, like it was just heated from a packet and was not cooked fresh. I ordered chicken tacos which were literally pieces of plain chicken and lettuce in tacos with some salsa and sour cream on the side. If there was mexican spice I couldn't taste it. No refried beans, no guacamole. We didn't eat half the food, since the quality was so poor. Again, poor service trying to get the bill. We asked once and no one brought it, so after a 15 minute wait we asked again. We were offered the drinks for free in acknowledgement of the terrible service. Probably the worst mexican food I have ever had: will not be eating here again.

Was looking forward to our meal after a busy day in the city but unfortunately it ended up being a pretty average experience. Food was ok and reflected the price. The service although not overly busy last night was pretty poor with us not even being asked if we wanted drink refills plus waiting over 40 minutes between our starters and our main meals or how we were doing etc.

Fantastic food, fantastic atmosphere, Fantastic service. Thank you. My favourite place to eat and always will be.

Beautiful building tucked away from the busy highstreet! Service was amazing and very friendly. The food was amazing, portion sizes were huge and definitely get so much for the price! So delicious and the drink choices were lovely too. Didn't take any photos as was too busy eating! But I had a Mexican blanket with pulled pork and brisket. Lots of beautifully cooked meat and the sweet potato fries were the best I've ever eaten! Hugely recommended!

Late to get booked table, then very slow service ( they were busy) just not enough staff maybe,,, then order came incorrect,, we skipped dessert as we did not want to spend whole evening hanging around. The food was ok but it was definitely more about quantity than quality nothing amazing. We had a very weak jug of cocktail to wash things down with. Would I go again ?? nope to many other nicer options for the price. After I complained the manager did take my mine course of the bill as it was incorrect,,so that was good.

Ahhhh.... It's good to be back... Been here so many times (almost every after week) that was 10 years ago... Looks the same place but in a good way, homey feel... The staff are doing their best despite the obvious of short staff (long service time) still good service all together...

Amazing food and amazing service every time, cannot recommend this place enough. Staff are always so friendly and good is always incredible with very generous portions, you are well looked after here with a great menu as wonderful servers.
