Bedfords Bar & Oliver's Bistro in Norwich

Had a quick drink in here with the family. It's not really a family bar though... Nice 90s music which I liked and nice selection of drinks. More of a young person's bar lol. Nice exposed rafters on the ceiling though.

Great for a dance...drinks pricey though!

Went in on a Saturday night and they had sold out of draught beer. Instead a small bottle was £5. Also the barmen always seem to serve their mates before anyone else. There really are alot better places to drink in the city.

The bar is family friendly through the day with Bucket List outside and the food welcomed to be eaten inside. Will be back for sure.

Sat inside with some bucket list chips and my favourite boys. Hannah was brilliant. Offered to show our boys the crypt room, which was on awesome room to see, the history of Norwich is fantastic.

Great bar with a classy and yet traditional feel. Huge range of spirits and very knowledgeable staff. The owner and his son work there every night, serving and mixing with the punters. Security are also approachable and it’s very clear that they only want one thing and that is a good night for everyone. This is the perfect escape for the over 25s, wanting to avoid late night drinking, without the overcrowded attitude vibe that seems to be too common in the city, especially at weekends. Perfect for a catch up, a date and always good tunes. Had a few Sundays there when they have the quality live bands and DJs and it’s the best place in the city in my opinion.

They have great bands in the bar. In the summer they have them outside also have a downstairs room "The Crypt" for music too. Nice staff and a good atmosphere.

Used to be one of the best watering holes in Norwich, with a handy location and a beautiful old building. Still maintains it's long history of live music these days but the poor range of drinks and seemingly inflated prices let it down, when it's open that is, which doesn't ever seem to be when I want to go there.

Big fan of the decor upstairs in Bedfords; its like sitting in a homely converted barn with exposed timber roofing and good furnishings. They have Sonos speakers dotted around so sound quality is also good. Prices are reasonable and staff have always been friendly. There is also a good size crypt you can hire; went once for a DJ evening and enjoyed it! All round good place.

This place is lovely looking. But a confusion in our booking may have changed what may have a nice meal.The food is all homemade and well prepared and they catered well for a group of 13, but I had a hair in my burger. Manager v. apologetic and refunded price. Second burger was lush though
