Compleat Angler in Norwich

Like this pub so much that i travelled from suffolk by train to visit. The food and the guinness are 5* for me. 😃

Busy but got served fairly quickly by very friendly bar staff. Too cold to sit outside so we sat by the window looking over the river. Would visit again

Superb pub the IPA and Abbot was lovely a great pint good location right opposite the train station and you can sit outside by the river having a pint great pub

Not a bad beer selection on offer when we visited, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Haven't tried the food here yet but we have plans to go back soon. Overall a pleasant place. Thank you.

Lovely warm pub with a classic feel, great friendly staff and customers, doggy treats and an all round great environment.. Popped in to wait for my train with my dog and get out of the rain.. Highly recommended..

That rare thing. A chain pub done well...good range of beers. Lots of screens for the sport or you can sit by the river. Usual pub favourite meals, cooked well, with excellent service and friendly staff. Great location, by the train station, to waste some time while you wait to head home.

Enjoyed good drinks and a very reasonable kilo of chicken wings whilst watching the Poland/England game. Also took advantage of the 15% Greene King discount card!A young lad worked his socks off behind the bar while the - I assume - manageress/tenant needs to take a refresher course in hospitality.Serving customers should be prioritised above carrying out mundane tasks which can be accomplished when there isn't a queue at the bar and, if wiping surfaces and emptying/filling glass washers and slop buckets is deemed essential right at that moment - which by the way it wasn't - deliberately avoiding eye contact with the queue at the bar is not the way to do it.Something like "I'm sorry guys. I'll be with you as quick as I can." is far more likely to keep the queueing customers happy as they watch the young lad running round like a proverbial.

Fabulous customer service, guys are doing their best! table service and after ordering food, came to double check if all is fine .Just brilliantTasty food and good choice of drinks.Fantastic and cosy seats by the riverside outside ⛵

Right next to the river, this pub attracts crowds easily. Sitting by the water on a sunny day with a cold one is lovely. You can walk all around down by the river and then go up some steps to get access to town but you'll go through this pubs back garden. Lovely atmosphere. The inside of the pub is large and very well laid out. The style of the bar and interior suits. They have TVs to watch sports if your into that. This pub is a must for a sports fan, a must for someone who enjoys a wide variety of drinks on tap, a must for outdoor drinking sat on balcony watching the boats. You can get a wheelchair in through the door and a scooter and plenty of room inside. I am unaware if they have disabled toilets as there was a step down to the regular toilets.

Friendly staff. Only came in for a quick drink before going to Premier Inn just over the road. Good range of ales and sport on TV. Food menu looks good. Nice decor and plenty of seating.
