Didis Dining & Restaurant in Norwich

I went here with my partner last night , I have genuinely got to say this was the best meal I have had from this cuisine handsdown (and I've had alot). The flavours coming from the kitchen and the service were nothing short of phenomenal. A fantastic evening very highly recommend! 🙌

Lacklustre. I love Jamaican food but where was that kick up the bum. Would come again but hopefully food is better!

The best food I have ever eaten , and trust me I have eaten a lot of food. Everything tastes so fresh , you can feel the quality. Will be ordering again , and again, and again!

Horrible service.Ordered from them, they said it would take 15 minutes on the phone to me, order hadn't gotten to me over an hour later, went to the restaurant in person and food wasn't even ready.When asked they just said they were busy with no further explanation.The most horrible service ever received.

Just had an order from here. Absolutely delicious food! We tried the curry goat, Jollof rice, plain rice, Jerk chicken, fried chicken, dumpling, patties and sweet potato. All perfectly cooked, and very generous portions. We are all stuffed. Good friendly service. We will definitely be coming here again. I wholeheartedly recommend Didi's.

I always eat from this restaurant and I can’t explain how good the food is! At first I was worried due to range of reviews but I realised that the only negative was the length of the delivery time. I took a chance and ordered and the food was so good!!!All the food they serve is fresh, home cooking and when I spoke to the manager, that’s the reason the food a while sometimes.My orders always arrive on time and it’s definitely a regular place for me to eat out so they seem to have made improvements from last year when people were complaining.Do yourself a favour and eat here - you will not regret it.

We have been ordering from this place for awhile now but never left a review although we could have done but prefer to give them direct feedback which they seemed to have taken onboard. We order at 7pm and our food came at promptly at 7.40pm taht was very good considering the food was all freshly cooked, all full of spices and great taste. The best Caribbean restaurant by a mile. Jerk chicken was was full of smoke and the rice and peas was well blended into each other, curry goat also had a nice kick. Thank you BTW all those slagging off this place need to encourage them as we need a good Caribbean food in Norwich.

Absolutely delicious, my family and I had curry goat, rice and peas, smoked bbq chicken, jellof rice with stewed meat. Was looking for a restaurant like this for some time now since moving from London. Would recommend phoning to pre order as it took a while as I just showed up to order, but that's my fault. I initially gave this restaurant 5*s despite several delivery issues (the food is always at least 2 hours late) because the food is very good and high quality with a nice selection on the menu. I can only remember one time I wasn’t super pleased but on average the food is 9/10. The food is pricey but the portion sizes reflect the price so it is by no means a rip off.However, after a horrible experience in January, I highly doubt I will ever order from here again. The customer service I received was honestly appalling to put it nicely, I called over 30 times and nobody answered the phone, it wouldn’t be the first time, I ordered at 11am and my food arrived past midnight, only for me to realise my order was held up even though we agreed on a delivery time because they wanted to deliver someone else’s order with mine, but I paid a full delivery free with my order? A member of staff then became very short with me on the phone when I called at 9pm when I still hadn’t received my food and told me that I needed to patient? After waiting over three hours for my food? And pre-ordering at 11am? I felt so insulted. When the food eventually came I was actually woken up in the middle of the night when the order finally arrived. I was so angry, I didn’t even enjoy the food.Another time I ordered and two hours later my order didn’t arrive, only for me to call back and the member of staff said she forgot to place my order? I was genuinely irritated as I could have eaten something else in that time, nobody enjoys eating dinner at like 12am that’s why you order early but it just never comes at a reasonable time. Another time my order was randomly cancelled without earning after waiting over an hour for it. The event that occurred in January was truly the final straw for me unfortunately. Since then I’ve tried several times to give them another chance but every time I pick up the phone to call I just decide to order from somewhere else instead to avoid the unnecessary stress that comes with ordering from this restaurant every single time.I’m leaving this review in hopes that they take the feedback and do better for future customers otherwise they won’t be in business for long should they gain a competitor, which would be such a shame. The food is amazing and you will enjoy it when and if it eventually comes but they need to put proper systems in place to take note of orders and deliver them in a timely fashion because what they’re currently doing isn’t sustainable neither does it make any sense. We had an excellent meal from this restaurant for the first time last week, but unfortunately didn't get the chance to leave a 'just eat' review before the mechanism timed out. We ordered oxtail soup, traditional curry goat stew, dumpling, jollof rice. The food was excellent and met all of our expectations. Thank you Didi. Our only concern is where can we go from here? Please maintain the excellent standard of cuisine we received. Delicious, authentic cuisine. We look forward to ordering more.
