Lovely Landlady Julia and landlord Jay made us feel so welcome. The best chef Matty made amazing food. Thursday night is quiz night, and we had so much fun. Quizmaster Roxy is brilliant. Highly recommend this friendly lovely pub. Just all round proper pub. Great atmosphere. Definitely will be going again ❤️

Had lunch here yesterday in one of their outdoors pods. Firstly, the service was absolutely outstanding from the moment we arrived. The staff could not do enough to help us, and the chef/owner even came outside to check how we were. The food was really high quality and fantastic portion sizes. We will definitely be back!

Booked a table for 11 two couldn't make it. Being a larger number a £5 deposit is required pp. This gets deducted from the bill, however if people don't show this is not refunded. We arrived, nice pleasant welcome. We got shown to our table, we had two dogs with us too. The room was a little cold but no one else was using it, being a Sunday most people opted for a roast. Good selection of meat, however the food was very basic. Clearly Cooked earlier in the day, the dishes were hot but food slightly warm. The proportions were slightly wrong in my opinion, loads of meat hardly any veggies. We were brought extra gravy without asking which was great! as it's almost always a guarantee we will need more. The yorkshires looked great that was probably the best part. Drinks are on the cheap side which was nice but unfortunately no one wanted a dessert after our main and there wasn't much of an option anyway. It's a large venue with lots of potential however there is so much out there now, you have to keep up with the times and hire the right staff. The landlady was lovely, the waitress as well was very sweet, however no uniform was worn.

Great pub, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. They also have outside pods. The owners are a lovely couple. Had a fantastic night there last Saturday for the Peaky Blinders night with live music and DJ.

I done a Christmas Market today at the Gibraltar Gardens The staff were very friendly and welcoming and although we was not that busy the atmosphere was really nice, I will definatly be visiting with my family for some food very soon

Great atmosphere..Bar staff were very efficient and safety measures followed with the restriction to table service only.Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Sunday Roast in the Pod was a great experience.I will be telling my friends and returning. Thanks for a lovely day.

At first glance it looks like a lovely place. Lots of security walking around, service took a very long time, you get 2 hours at the table but we weren't asked what food we were ordering until an hour and a half of sitting down. Food was very mediocre and certainly not worth the wait. As you can see from the photo those "chips" were cooked previously to our arrival then heated up and burnt. I wouldn't recommend.

we dined out in one of the pods which was lovely; it had its’ own heater, speaker, lights to control & blankets. i came in with my own canned drink as i cannot drink fizzy drinks, and they took that away from me where there were no notices to say i couldn’t bring my own drink into the place. there were quite limited choices for drinks and even moreso limited choices for vegans which was difficult. two of us had the vegan burger which was nice but slightly dry; the chips, fish & chips and halloumi fries were lovely. our waitress was helpful although a small incident occurred which the manager kindly sorted out. it was a bit of a wait for food & drinks as the place was so busy, so be prepared to wait a little while in peak business time. all in all a nice experience, but would be made better with more options for vegans & drinks choice.

Loved the ambience here, I'm posting this review late, me and my work colleagues booked for one their pods on the first day of pubs reopening (12th Apr)it was quite a busy evening, but very well taken care of precautions. Each pods has a dedicated heater and fairy lights, unfortunately our lights in the pod had gone down, couldn't turn them on despite everyone's efforts haha! (Hope its been corrected by now)Lovely beers and Delicious food, I would definitely recommend The Gibraltar Rock Burger 🍔! Solid choice.Service was quite slow, but I understand it was due to the limited number of staff they had on their first day, handling the large crowd.Wish they had a special treatment for the people inside the pod (coz ppl pay extra for it, lol)But it was really sweet of the lady to come down to each table and talk to people! It was a nice gesture (I assume she's the owner of the pub)Overall experience was fantastic and it's a place that stays memorable!

Absolutely great pub. We had dinner in one of their pods and were so well looked after. All the staff were really friendly and made the evening even better. Great location by the river too.
