Holiday Inn in Norwich

We stayed twice in a short space of time (4 days followed a week later by 7 days). The rooms are adequate but we always have to ask for extra tea, coffee etc. as the bare minimum is provided. The shower is powerful and the towels large and fluffy.The staff are all excellent and will go out of their way to help.The food is good but there appears to be a lack of white bread for toast at breakfast.We have stayed here for many years and will continue to do so because of the convenient location.The hotel and grounds are looking tired but hopefully this will be addressed this year..

Hotel room and reception/bar area is clean but hotel itself looks a little tired outside and in. Beware if you want to use the pool it’ll be full of screaming kids on swimming lessons or booked out for classes. Only booked this hotel to use the pool for fitness, had I known I would of booked elsewhere better suited and better located for less. Unfortunately it seems I can only actually get in the pool after 7:45. This is no good considering I will of already eaten before that point and who wants to swim on a full stomach. I feel that clear times with pool use should be on the website for you to see BEFORE booking. I will also echo the sentiments of a previous review that a gratuity charge should be earned not expected. I do not want to pay it for what is basically a McDonald’s QR code table system but have no choice in the matter. Helped the older couple next to me with their QR code and then kept an eye on them whilst having a beer and they sent their first starter back and I have to say their second starter looked very, very bland. Wine bottles, cups, mugs and all other tat left on corridor windowsills. Doubt I’d be staying again. Gained a star back for having circles by mac miller on in the restaurant.

I had a lovely stay in this hotel. I was greeted by Luke who was very friendly and helpful.Nice to have access to the gym and swimming pool.I then had great service in the bar area. The team (Lauren, Ellie, Flora and Kayleigh) were again lovely, friendly and made me feel very welcome. Would differently stay here again, I had one of the best nights sleep.

The staff are friendly and I am always welcome here. I visit every month and they make my stay comfortable. The one time I had an issue they sorted it straight away and have done printing for me when I've forgotten paperwork
