Long John Hill Fish Bar in Norwich

Over all a nice fish and chip bar. Chips are always well cooked fish was nice however my partner ordered a large cod and it was mostly batter at one end with very little fish, not the norm even for a tail end. Most of the staff are pleasant but the lady who served me could have cracked a smile for every customer not just the regulars. Despite all of the above I would return.

Order online to be told a pick up time to then be made to stand outside 40 minutes past that given time to then be told they've sold my large haddock and only have cod... Fine. But I don't appreciate being told haddock is cheaper than cod.

Visiting the area and was recommended that I try here as the" chips are great." So went for lunch and I wasnt disappointed, very tasty chips and superbly cooked fish.Best I've had in a long while, shall vist again when in the area.

This is a really decent local chippie. They always seem well stocked, and the staff are professional enough to keep waiting time to a minimum even at the busiest times, and friendly enough so you always feel welcomed an valued. Prices are very reasonable, and portion sizes are generous.

Best fish and chips I’ve had in a while! Great chips, the Irish curry sauce is to die for! Much better quality than McDonalds. Only thing I would like to see improved would be the quality of pickled onions. Otherwise fantastic.

I was very impressed, clean fresh and bright. They operate a one way system take your order and you wait outside or in your car. They bring the order to you. Sanitisation station inside door and saw the staff cleaning their hands between orders. Well done guys, helping keep us all safe.

£21 for two large fish and chips and 2 sausages!!! 😲. Waited neay 20 minutes, got home, opened the boxes and the "large" portions looked like "small" portions to me. Too expensive for portions.

Fish and chips served in a box. Asked for plenty of salt and vinegar and got none. You go in and order then wait outside to recieve your food. Only found out in the car there was no S&V on them. So had to go back inside to be told help yourself. Now why couldn't they have said that at purchase.

Had long John Fish bar tonight and have to say it was 10/10. Had the chicken burger with chips and the Irish curry sauce. Amazing. Great portion sizes. To top off had deep fried oreo. Definitely coming back.
