Notcutts Garden Centre in Norwich

Café- it’s okay, coffee is nice do is the tea, however the cakes are very expensive for the amount you get. I’m aware maybe I just got a small slice but still it was a very small slice for £3.50 .

I seldom go to Norwich but needed a gift voucher from Notcutts for a relations birthday so I phoned the store. Clare sorted the card and posted to me on her way home so a huge thank you for brilliant customer service and 5 stars.

Positives- Lots of parking, great variety and the large outdoor area is nice to wander around in good weather. The cafe is worth the trip on it's own. Make sure you visit around Christmastime, they pull out all the stops! Negatives- Don't expect a personal service, this has a 'garden supermarket' feel rather than that of a family run garden centre. Prices are not always the best in the area.

Really think this place needs to up it's game, used to be a nice place to visit in previous years however, not really the case now. Staff are not that helpful or friendly...plants not great and despite claiming to be dog friendly there is no provision in the cafe for dog owners which quite frankly there is no excuse for.. when far superior places to eat locally are welcoming dogs...such as two magpies bakery 🐕 friendly in all of their sites...Holt garden centre is amazing and dog friendly across the site including the restaurant which is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Nottcutts. Highways is building a dog friendly restaurant...so would suggest those as an alternative.

Cafe is very clean, tables well separated and identified as to when they have been cleaned and ready for use. Tasty food, generous portions. Queue system to reduce crush at counters. Plenty of variety in shop out and indoors. Spaced queue at pay desk.

A fabulous garden centre all the year round. The plants are in good condition and well dared for. Notcutts is more than just a garden centre, so take a couple of hours or so to have a good look round and make your purchases. The cafe is excellent if you are wanting some refreshments.

Whilst at Notcutts which is a very nice place to walk around we decided to have a coffee in the restaurant, the area is very well presented and spacious with plenty of tables. Well sign posted with COVID restrictions. There was a young lad called Josh who was very friendly and polite. Whilst cleaning the tables he asked me if I would like another drink which I did he went and got me another caramel latte service with a smile. His customer service skills are excellent, he gets the 5 stars, Josh clearly loves his job.

Great selection of plants and garden products. Plants are well looked after and healthy. The cafe is really good food but can be popular at meal times so get there early.

Notcutts is really the best place for your gardening needs. Starting from tools, seeds, pots etc. it has a huge collection of all your gardening needs.The flowers and plants look amazing. I was not even aware of some of the varieties of fruits that was available at Notcutts. Really amazing.They also have a great section for pets. We even found some Guinea pigs for sale there. They were really cute.There is also a dedicated aquarium section with a wide variety of fishes available and again all you need to maintain an aquarium.Overall amazing place. Looking forward to going there again.
