Pizza Express in Norwich

Quick service once seated but staff seemed to not understand the concept of “waiting for a table to open up”. Food was usual high quality.

I’ve never felt the need to leave a negative review before but the service received tonight was awful. We arrived to our valentines booking and were told they’d run out of dough so most the menu wasn’t available, I understand this sort of thing can happen but we could’ve been notified beforehand. We were then seated and left for almost 30 minutes without service despite the fact it was late and quite quiet, when we did receive service it felt half hearted and unfortunately even the food was sub par-While my pasta was nice my partner had only one Option to pick from on the vegan menu and it was basically just an aubergine in sauce. Only thing I enjoyed was my drink and the guy outside on his skateboard.

I had a blast and a half during my recent visit today as Staff was very friendly, Especially Sonia Niezgoda who helped out with choosing best spicy pizza on the menu and suggested tweaks for best experience along with promoting PE app for easier ordering and best offers :)

Came here for a 14th birthday meal. Had to wait nearly an hour for our starters and drinks, and then around 45 mins for our mains. The waitresses were lovely but there wasn’t enough staff to cope with the amount of people there and the kitchen were slow. Food was good quality. They mixed our bill up so we paid someone else’s. Just a really poor experience from start to finish, but the waiting staff were great and I felt sorry for them as they were getting complaints all evening. Sadly we won’t be returning

Terribly slow service.Unorganised rushed staff.Extremely salty food.Felt rough after Pizza and checked nutritional information, 8g of Salt in 1 Pizza!That's more than your RDA in 1 dish and should certainly come with a warning!Not impressed.

Booked to collect take away at 6.45 as had a visit to theatre for 7.30. By 7 still no food. Finally admitted it had been given to someone else. Suggested we come back after theatre!!!!! Then said it would take 4 mins to get another 3 pizzas ready. By 10 mins later still no pizzas. Had to go back after theatre when they had just about closed. Appalling service.

Really good, quick service, nice food. Managed to get us in and out quickly so we got to the theatre on time.

Great staff and location. Pizza Express used to me my favorite place to go for easy lunch or dinner, great atmosphere but excellent fresh food. However my last few visits have been really disappointing and this evening was the worst - the famous dough balls were dry, cold and not much better than the stuff you get from a supermarket - garlic butter was a knife scrap, not the full bowl you used to get - the American big pizza was dry and sparse... Pizza Express you have lost your mojo, perhaps you are too old and are tired, but all you had once needs reinvesting before you lose the folk who loved you once - real shame. BTW the staff were great, dont take it out them.

Only complaint was that the temperature at the Forum restaurant in Norwich was freezing and the food became cold very quickly. However, our waitress, Andrea, was super, as were the other young servers. All very pleasant and helpful.

Gets quite busy during the day so booking is a must. Lots of light wherever you sit with good views. Ample staffing usually who are attentive. Good tails and interesting sides and mains. Excellent location. Would recommend.
