The Belgian Monk in Norwich

We booked a table here on our first night in Norwich. The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic and highly enjoyable. We were greeted and looked after by Sarah. The food was absolutely stunning and worth every penny. The pub also had an extensive drinks selection which catered to everyone, Sarah went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and content, the lovely girl even went to the shop to get some lime cordial. We had an absolutely amazing evening. Our only suggestion for improvement would be that the Belgian monk invests in a soft close door latch on the main entrance.. other than that we are looking forward to be coming back soon 10/10 from us 🥃🥃🥃☺️☺️☺️

Normally nice food but burger over cooked and bun burnt. Such a shame. Also a smile can go a long way.

Good food and large array of unusual continental beers. Often very busy as popular place so best to book in advance. Be prepared to fork out a bit more than normal for Norwich in relation to beers

Excellent local pub serving delicious Belgian food and 🍺! The mussels in herbs and butter sauce is a must try, together with their draught Belgian beer. I finished everything!

Good food and a great selection of beers. We had tried a few already as part of the #BeersInTheCabin but was good to be able to try some new ones. Friendly staff too helped with the whole atmosphere.

Food was extremely affordable when we went with the 2 meals at lunchtime for £15.50, and in no way did the price detract from the quality or quantity! The menu had a huge selection and all the food we tried was very well made. They also have a wide range of Belgian beer and some cider to round out the experience. Will definitely be back to try some more of the menu!

Great selection of beers including 3 faves. Proper Belgian frites with mayonnaise and a good two-meal lunch deal. Nice Belgian ambiance, and menu in Flemish (if you must) very nice staff.

Lovely evening and quiet but interesting venue, with vast selection of unusual beers. Look forward to visiting again soon! 🍻

Delicious fillet steak with blue cheese sauce, tartiflette and a side of red cabbage. Boar burger equally tasty, nice fresh condiments and salad. Welcoming service, covid on the ball and organised. Fantastic selection of beers. A few extra chicken dishes might be good for non red meat eaters but the variety was fantastic generally. Very large portions, glad we didn't have a starter! Arrive hungry! Thoroughly recommended. Enjoyed the modern background music too.
