The Chip Shop in Norwich

My favourite chippy in Norwich. Generous portions and very reasonably priced. Word of warning - don't order a medium chips unless you're planning to share!

1st visit under new owners. For me I wouldn't go back, personally the batter is way to thick, everything else was good.

Under new management, used to be one of my top three favourite chip shops, very sad to say no longer. Visited thirty minutes before a lunchtime closing time, ordered large cod and chips three times to be told that they didn't want to cook that so close to closing time!? The offerings on display looked so unappetising I left without buying anything. I understand now why customers weren't queueing out of the door as they used to do.Why can't I give less than one star?

Tastes like they've changed the oil recently from vegetable to beef dripping... might be worth checking before purchase if you're a vegetarian.

Excellent fish and chips, portion sizes are very good and it’s good value for money. Point to note, it’s cash only. I would highly recommend.

Very very disappointed! Refried chips! Cut off fish portion added more battered instead. Felt sick afterwards due to quality of oils. Nothing has changed after a few remarks. Really miss the old chips shop. Glad found better place now.

Good size portions, massive piece of cod as the pic shows, even though I didn't take the photo quick enough! Fish was quite greasy in the paper and realised my ordered pickled egg wasn't there, but had already got home 😔

Best Chippy in Norwich by a mile. Everything is cooked perfectly every time. The portions are generous large really does mean large. The fish is of the highest quality and the batter is always golden and crisp as are the chips. You really would be hard pressed to find a better chippy anywhere.
