The Dining Rooms at Cinema City in Norwich

Nice cinema, comfy seats, and very easy purchase online and no need to even show tickets at the counter as we could head straight to the screen. However I must say that in thirty years of cinema going I’ve never had to sit through more adverts than we did. I stopped counting at 13 minutes of non stop adverts - not a good start to our experience.

There's nothing not to like about Cinema City. Characterful old building with restaurant and bar. There are three screens with very comfortable seats. We were in Screen 2 and enjoyed the fabulous leg room which makes all the difference if you are tall.

Sunday afternoon viewing of a brilliant film (Belfast), an ice cream and sweets. Sitting in a comfortable seat, although we had to keep our coats on as it was cold.

The cinema was dangerously dark when you enter so beware when trying to find your seats. The room was freezing for the entire duration of the film we watched and we had to wait for ages for staff to find the manager when we first arrived.

Best place in Norwich to watch films, plus they have a great wine list and you can take your drinks in to the theater! Love it.

Visited Cinema City on Sunday. Felt very safe. All staff and customers were wearing masks. Screen 1 was very clean and tidy. Took coffees in with us from the bar which were hot and delicious. And as for the film, we'll if you haven't seen West Side Story go now!! It is a five star film too!! And the toilets were very clean too.

Lovely food. Friendly staff. Comfortable cinema. Yes its slightly more expensive than others but it's always more comfortable and fun!

Popped in there last night to make enquires about a neighbouring venue which had cancelled a concert and had not notified us. The guys and girls could not have been anymore helpful. Believe one was the manager. Employing teams like that you can be assured customers are in very safe hands! Customer service at its very best.

The Service was attentive without being intrusive. The food itself was beautifully cooked and presented. Would have preferred a few additions to the menu itself. But overall we had a lovely evening with our dinner and then a film afterwards.

Always a friendly welcome and effort made to provide a good experience at the Dining Rooms. There are two dining rooms, one an almost domestic-sized wood-panelled room and a larger, lighter space, both with features from the original (albeit quite different) historic buildings from which they have been converted. We have been offered to dine in the bar area when busy too, there are tables which lend themselves to a sit down meal although it can be a little noisy here. The menu is always interesting with good vegetarian options. This time we were there for Sunday lunch. Live music by way of an excellent acoustic guitar was performed in the bar area and provided a delightful background ambience. The menu is reasonably priced for Norwich and a discount of 10% is available to Cinema City (Picturehouse) members.The only downside is that the kitchen and dining areas are separared by possibly the draftiest stone passageway in East Anglia, if not Christendom. As such, plated hot dishes always seem to have had whatever the season blew at them for the 10 seconds during their journey from oven to table. Consequently, you'll not want to spend too long admiring the presentation before you launch forth. Have returned several times.
