We have just got home from our friends wedding after it being cancelled due to covid for 2 years and extremely saddened by the service we received. The ceremony was lovely the pre drinks we’re lovely and your new member of staff Leon was amazing but it went down hill from the food . It was a good hour from when we sat down for our starters which all came out at wrong times and then another 45 for the mains and this point it was very late . It was Mother’s Day and the restaurant had basically over booked by to many as they couldn’t handle a wedding party of 50 . The mothers days diners. Were obviously getting their food first even though the wedding has been booked for 2 years . After trying to check in for our room which has been booked months ago they couldn’t find our booking and after lots of deliberation upgraded us to a suite which was nice but not the point . This should of been for bride and groom but they had been told it was under maintenance. I feel so sad for our friends who got married as after waiting so long for it . It was let down by basically bad management and extremely terrible organisations and lack of communication won’t be rushing back

Lovely old building, not far from the city centre and just across the roundabout from one of the cathedrals. Excellent accessible room with walk in shower. Lots of facilities including a fridge with complimentary water. Plenty of coffee and tea with an array of biscuits. Other snacks, soft drinks and alcohol available at a price. Breakfast is included and there was a fantastic choice available. Service was excellent and felt very welcome and looked after. We had special meals in the function room due to being part of the wedding party on Friday and Saturday.

Best Sunday roast I've ever had. Huge portions for such a good price, was blown away. The plant based Wellington was so good, as well as all the veg, stuffing etc that came with it. My bf had the roast chicken, which consisted of literally half a whole chicken on his plate! Such good value and so tasty.

I had a brilliant lunch with a local friend. The food was excellent, good service and I had the most delicious and glorious sticky toffee pudding you could possibly ever had to finish a meal.A few long awkward minutes waiting to be acknowledged and seated but I was saved by the the exceedingly kind young man behind the bar. Also I couldn’t order a negroni as I was told they run out of one of the ingredients. Of a three ingredients cocktail.A very pleasant experience and one of the best places in Norwich were I used to live for two years.

Cool furniture and design, lovely staff and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend. The bathroom could do with a bit of a revamp but I was only there one night and everything else was perfect.

Lovely place however when attempting to get dinner, waited perhaps 10 mins for a drinks order. We left after this, and ate elsewhere. The stay otherwise was flawless, room was clean and staff friendly (if absent).I had a lovely breakfast in the morning.I think the slip up at the night wasn’t the norm, and I don’t want to judge a place too negatively based on one element, when the rest was so good.

My partner and I had a lovely nights stay at the hotel in one of the Comfy rooms. The room was very spacious with a nice balcony area and a very comfortable bed. There is plenty of parking on site and the City centre is just a short walk away. I would highly recommend staying here if you visit this lovely City! Thanks for a fantastic stay.

This is our second stay at the Georgian Townhouse, staying at the apartments across the road. I can only say that yet again they fell way short of expectations. Check in and arrival process was easy. The two bedroom apartment could be very nice but was very disappointing. Carpets were dirty (looked muddy), the sofa was stained. The radiators in the bedroom didn't work (one of the team fixed one and brought a portable one for the one he couldn't fix). The walls are scuffed and marked. The bathroom had a very unpleasant smell, and there was a big brown stain (uncannily just under the bathroom) on our bedroom ceiling. The other bedroom had a cheap wardrobe with the drawer front missing and doors that didn't close. If I was paying the price for a second rate B&B I could almost overlook some of the issues, but with the premium we were paying over Xmas we were less than impressed. I spoke to the lady at the front desk after we checked in and she immediately offered me 50% off the first night and a free breakfast. I declined her offer and asked for a duty manager to call me, which she confirmed would happen that evening/night. I'm still waiting for the call. On checkout they had refunded our first night, a nice gesture but I still wouldn't pay what we paid for the second night for 2 nights.I totally understand the issues the hospitality industry have faced (and continue to face) during the pandemic, but this is just basic lack of attention and shoddy maintenance that could be easily sorted. We had exactly the same issues with maintenance and cleanliness issues last time we stayed (previous guests' wet towels left for us, lots of hair on the floor, broken amenities etc). All the staff we met were very nice and apologetic, but rather than an apology I would appreciate getting a decent room.
