Very nice welcome by polite, well trained staff. The food was good but not exceptional as experienced previously. Drinks menu comprehensive and cocktails very well made. Toilets need some investment to match the front of house decor as becoming tatty.

The meal was great, and the bill was nearly £200 but I had a £110 voucher (birthday present from son for a tasting menu for two). On presentation of the voucher at the Clifton restaurant, their attitude left a lot to be desired. They were not happy and checked the voucher, then claimed it was for the Bath restaurant. It was clearly for either, but had been bought with the Clifton restaurant in mind. This attitude was very disappointing and spoiled the meal which was for a special birthday for both of us. What a shame. I have been before but am now unlikely to recommend this restaurant or go again.

The service we received from The staff was impeccable there was 7 of us the staff topped up wine before letting our glass empty and were super attentive and polite. The food was absolutely delicious I had the tasting menu which consisted of 7 delectable dishes you can have a wine pairing with each dish If you so choose aswell. I could not find a single fault with place it was spotless food was well presented and delicious staff were amazing and will definetly be back

The rudest service me and my group have ever received. Disgusting service, kicked off the table 30mins early, and had our left over wine bottles combined into 1 and were told to get out! For a bill that was over £500 we were made to feel like an inconvenience and were treated with no respect by the staff. After witnessing his staff speak to us so rudely, The manager eventually tried to step in to defuse the situation and apologise on behalf of his staff but it was way too late. Absolutely horrific service - will never return and cannot recommend highly enough to avoid. Also, food was stated to be halal but chicken had blood in it which was justified as it being ‘part of the bone’. Duck curry was awful - not a curry - a well cooked duck breast with a side of curry sauce. Very strange and not very tasty. Sides were extremely small portioned, tasted ok but not worth the money.

Have been here a couple of times now. Loved it the first time (pre-Covid) but was massively disappointed the last time. When you visit a place like this, the expectations are naturally high because of the price you are paying. The ambience is great and the service although slow, is good. But we were let down by the food - and I am not comparing it to the local places and what passes as "Indian" food in the UK.They seem to have made few changes to their food with more focus on presentation than the food itself.Saffrani Murgh : Was rather bland, hardly had any flavour at all.Hara Jhinga : This was the best of all the starters, liked it.Dhuva Machli (Salmon) : Tandoor style, but overdone which killed all flavour of Salmon. For mains, we had Butter Chicken (not bad but not great and just too little sauce), Kozhi Nadan (liked it) and Chicken Biryani (good but again remember it being better first time around). Garlic naans were really good. Now coming to the worst part of the meal - Desserts! We had Ice creams (no flavour at all), Jamnun Nest (complete mess - 4 tiny jamuns with a nest of rice sewai which was completely devoid of any flavour at all - served with tangy chutney which didn't work at all) and some Macha Kulfi (passable). All in all, we were left disappointed after paying almost £50 pp for a meal. Don't think we would be going back.

I'm so dissapointed with this place and the staff.Staff were bullying a new girl and acting very unprofessional towards her. Probably because she's white. This is abuse of power.Another thing that came to my attention is a poster on the wall which says if you're sick stay at home because the world is going through a pandemic due to a virus and they think it's acceptable for a woman who did not stop coughing be on shift and handle customers food and drink. That is unhygienic and concerning. The owner isn't any better; scamming and false adverting a young woman to work and not pay as agreed.

It was my first time and I really enjoyed everything from starter to the main dish. Dum Biryani is quite unique and tasty. I would give 5star for food.In terms of price, its quite expensive. Especially starters are over priced for what you get. Another downside, service provided by one of their waitress was not what you expect for such sort of restaurant. She never said hello, thank you or anything.Honestly speaking, I shouldn't have paid service charge at all for what type of service was provided by her.

Coming from an Indian sceptic of Indian takeaways, this is by far one of the best Indian restaurants i've come across in the U.K. A bit pricey so won't be a regular here but every dish is carefully balanced in spices, packs a punch and true to it's origins. Fantastic ambience, friendly staff, authentic dishes and overall, a very satisfied customer. Meat platter starter, seafood platter starter and Nalli Gosht was exquisite.

We have dined here a few times and each time we have been blown away by just how good the food is. By far the best we have ever had. The service is excellent and the atmosphere and ambience are just right for a very enjoyable evening. It is a welcoming restaurant and just a joy to dine at. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I wanted to like it...Indian with a fine dining style, but it didn't deliver the goods.Stale poppadoms to start with, but the sauces were nice.Mains: my partner was served a very overcooked duck breast (with a tasty sauce! ) My lamb shank was also not very tender with quite a lot of fat and tissue that hadn't rendered. The girl serving us was very nice and got the kitchen to redo the plates, which were an improvement. I still wouldn't recommend the lamb, which is usually one of my favourite cuts. The flavours were pleasant with a kick of spice, but when the dish is just a lamb shank with sauce, you really need to get the meat right! All in all, the most expensive Indian in Bristol (which I was expecting) but really not worthy of the amount they charge. Undecided between 2 and 3 stars!Be aware that they also add a service charge of 12% to the bill.
