The Nelson Table Table in Norwich

The barman was lovely, We personally didn't have anything to eat this time, there were a handful of tables eating .my partner and myself chose just to have a drink, there was an awful smell of grease/fat in the air, maybe the cooker hood filters needed changing, or the fat for frying etc was just old? We had to move away from the bar in the end which was better, but still awful because smell was still heavy and "off puting" in the air. It didn't seem cosy like it once had, decor needs patching in parts, and dusty in others.we sat watching, the waiting staff who were still very attentive to their customers .a pat on the back for your lovely staff , its a shame whitbread, this site deserves better

Does a good all you can eat breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Place needs some.TLC with decorating. Otherwise clean.

Nice atmosphere, however the service was quite slow. The food was good but not the best. 7/10

Absolutely dreadful, we wanted a nice evening because my daughter was leaving from there to her wedding but after a nice main course NO ONE ever returned to us, so no desert coffees etc.. Then Costa had no cups then no record of our having had a meal!! I course took ages for all the wrong reasons!!

Very nice all you can eat breakfast. Helpful staff. Good attention to sanitising tables as soon as they were vacated.

Typical pub chain food, was ok as we had a 50% off voucher, not good value otherwise. Service was good, but restaurant was quite empty anyway.

Lovely location right by the river, staff are very friendly and food was of a good quality, although Gallic bread was a bit under done. Would recommend.

Nice atmosphere and nice decor with relaxing lighting for an evening meal, however, the food was only really mediocre at best - and what you'd generally expect from a chain pub. It was tasty nonetheless, and both food and drinks arrived quickly, with a friendly service. Wouldn't say the mains were quite worth the price, and the desert was certainly overpriced for what we received, and not at all as advertised on the menu... that cookie s'more was £5.49! 😦 Otherwise a nice meal and would recommend for a laid back evening 👍🏻

Had a wonderful night out with my partner for dinner at The Nelson in Norwich. Brilliantly cooked food, such friendly staff along with a great laid back atmosphere. Choice of dishes would suit any palate. Well done to the Manager and his lovely friendly staff. A great night, thank you.

Rooms are basic but tidy. There's a pay car park on site. Meal deal for dinner and breakfast is value for money.
