Fantastic place to eat and have a drink. Staff were wonderful and helpful. Really enjoyed a nice lunch with great food and atmosphere.

Went there this afternoon I had the best burger I've ever had and my wife had a roast and said the best roast she's ever had. The quality of the food and the staff was amazing. 100% worth ever penny

It was my Brother-in-laws Stag the food and service at the Cottage was exceptional !I had the Prawn Cocktail for starters it wasn't just a few leaves of lettuce and a few prawns in sauce in a tumbler it was a whole plateful !For main course I ordered the half Chicken with seasonal Vegetables !Wow ! Chicken sat on Mashed and roast potatoes and Vegetables were in a separate dish ! Everything was well Cooked and presented to the table !The Staff are very welcoming and friendly nothing is too much, always asking if all is OK 👍Book you Table Now

Met some friends for a ladies lunch. Staff very friendly and helpful we all enjoyed our meals, have been here before and will definitely be going back. Recommend.

Went here for an engagement party in the function room. Think it was the first time it's been properly used since easing of COVID restrictions. Bar-staff had a bit of trouble with draught beers at first, but no real issues, and were efficient and friendly. Food was also laid on, and really tasty. It was good quality and included a large selection. Wedges, skewed chicken and sausage rolls flew out. Don't know how expensive, as I was a guest. They also had a large marquee outside, but it wasn't in use. There is a carpark, but it doesn't hold many cars.All in all I would visit again, and consider it as a venue.

I do like it here, been going here for years. Staff are so friendly and helpful. It's not the best roast I've had out but certainly in my top 5. I am a gluten free non meat eater though, so not overly easily to please. The meat my boyfriend had was good apparently.

we went for Easter Sunday lunch and we all had a roast,3 in party. The staff were very good and did not have to wait to be served, the only thing that we could complain about was that the plate wasn't very hot and that the mashed potato was cold, but everything else was good, and when we asked for more gravy it was very hot. The desserts were excellent, so would definitely recommend this place

Just had the most amazing vegan meal at The Cottage! I had Vegan Dirty Loaded Fries and it was the best vegan chilli I have tasted or cooked, all fresh veg and no fake mince and huge portions. I am seriously impressed! See you next week or maybe tomorrow

We had our wedding reception here on the 4th of September 2021 and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. During the pandemic we had to cancel and rearrange 3 times! Each time Ian was so accommodating and understanding and couldn't have done more for us. He even emailed me to say he was thinking of us when we should have had our first wedding day which was so thoughtful and appreciated.On the day all the staff were amazing, attentive and so organised. The day went without a hitch and all the guests were thoroughly complementary of the food and service alike.We had my mum and dad's 50th wedding anniversary meal here a few weeks later. And have returned as a family to eat.If anyone is considering having their wedding reception or any event here for that matter I would not hesitate to recommend it. You wouldn't regret it. First it's been a long time coming leaving this review due covid and a family death, so we apologise for that. The Cottage were simply amazing when we had our wedding function here in July. They were so accommodating, helpful and professional. The food was amazing, it was so tasty, beautifully presented and there was plenty to go round. They assisted with finishing decorations, were there to help guests and just wonderful. They helped make our day so special, it was such a shame it went so quickly! We loved the fact they were so friendly and down to earth, special thanks to Lorraine and Ian for being such great hosts, and the other members of staff who were so helpful. We would recommend the Cottage.
