Really disappointing Sunday lunch. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and the simple menu looked promising. But that's as far as it went. One of our group couldn't finish her starter - an unpleasant pork terrine. Everyone had roast beef for main course which was devoid of flavour. Desert was OK but the coffee was disgusting. Like dishwater. Service was amateur. Quality for price paid was dreadful. We will not return.

Came here for a family meal before Christmas, food was average (soup was excellent though!) service was not at all good unfortunately so we wouldn't return, such a shame as I had been wanting to come here for ages after seeing so many good reviews

The food and service was excellent. The duck, fish, and beef were exceptional. We were a tiny bit concerned initially, as the previous 14 reviews were very mixed. However we're extremely pleased we kept our reservation.

One of ours worst dining experiences! We went for a birthday meal with 9 years old daughter. A group of young men sat next to us , they were drunk , very loud, swearing a lot . It was unacceptable that staff or manager did not react. Food was great and compliments to the chef, but it is difficult to enjoy dinner in this kind of environment . For this price you expect something different , birthday was spoiled and we were disappointed.

Good food and smart staff. We showed up without a booking on a Saturday evening, but they arranged a table.I liked the scallop and the venison. Good Italian wine even for a Spaniard 😊.

·

Food was fantastic especially the chocolate fondant. Bit pricey but as it was a belated birthday meal we accepted it.

·

Excellent food - wonderful welcome in an interesting historical inn. Both the halibut with confit celeriac and the stone bass were delicious.

·

Service was good, food was good but quite small portions

·

Good service.

Well I dont have a review as i can"t aparently book for Christmas Day unless you have email them! Why wait a few days for a reply back when a simple call could tell you wether there is a space available for lunch Christmas Day. So sorry Maids head....I shall telephone somewhere else.
