Last night, we went to The York for their Valentine's set menu. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were so friendly and engaging and the atmosphere was perfect. We love going there and the latest chef is brilliant!

We visited the York yesterday for Sunday lunch and must say we found the food and the whole experience to be perfect. The venue is modern relaxed and comfortable. The staff were attentive, friendly and always on hand. The food was very well cooked and presented and tasted great. Highly recommended.

I booked a table tonight not really knowing what to expect.I am plant based and I asked about a vegan option - an amazing vegan halloumi and felafel dish, with mango and coriander dressing was made for me.It was absolutely delicious. The best vegan cheese I've had, and the felafel was incredibly tasty too.My partner had a turkey roast dinner which he also really enjoyed. This is not the first time at the York. We often come here because the staff is always kind and super friendly, and tonight showed me how they go out of their way to make their customers happy.Great food, lovely staff and chilled atmosphere. I'd always come back for a meal at the York.P.S: the cocktails are also amazing!

Wonderful pub. Friendly with a warm welcome. Food is fantastic, the staff (Lauren) who served me and my family so friendly and helpful. Andrew ( owner) making fabulous cocktails! Please visit this pub, it will become your local.

Unexpectedly large garden at rear. Good range of beers. Food was good. Had grilled fish with fennel and potatoes. Normal Golden Triangle prices ( i.e. a little overpriced for a pub!). Staff pleasant. Food and drink ordered via app.

Convenient at the moment given the large and spacious garden at the rear, which was once a bowling green. Service was friendly and the pub was clean and organised. Beer range was reasonable, although a little limited on real ales. We were a bit late for food, but the menu looked good with topped fries, burgers and pub meals. It's best to book a table at the moment to ensure a spot.

Wow! This is not just pub food... this is top quality gastro-pub food. We had a peep at the menu on Sunday & decided to try dinner on Tuesday evening (food was served 6-9pm). The pub was warm & buzzy, with nearly all tables occupied (so I'd recommend booking). We were served by Lauren who did well running the unexpectedly busy restaurant and bar on her own, always smiley & helpful. The menu is one page of pure class. Carefully considered combinations, plenty of local produce (meats, seafood, cheese etc). We had starters (top pick: mussels! best mussels in Norwich!) and mains (both the burger & seabass were flawless). All the desserts looked tasty so next time we must leave space for pud. Can't wait to return to try the other dishes. Congratulations to the new manager, the chef and all the team, and thank you for transforming this local pub. Brace yourselves, looks like you're going to have a very busy Christmas...!

The York used to be my local so always has a soft spot in my heart. It went through a few troubles but, if this bank holiday weekend is anything to go by, it's again in rude health. The garden was always a big draw but with the addition of an outside bar and lots of seating it's been noticeably improved. The beer selection is large, although wasn't that inspiring but they take a G+T seriously which is a bonus. As they were very busy they ran out of our preffered food options but what we had did the job to stem the effects of the booze. Although I do worry about burgers being described as lean, burgers should be seriously fatty! There are a few rough edges that could do with small improvements but overall the York has retained its charm and offers a reason to head back to the triangle.
