Zaks Waterside Grill & Bar in Norwich

Absolutely brilliant breakfast. Generous portions, lovely food, great service and nice place. When they say bottomless tea and coffee they really mean it! Not just the best value breakfast but really on of the best.

Food was bland and unimaginative, I had what was suppose to be a blue cheese Burger and the topping was a tasteless thick gloop. Another of our group had the Mac & Cheese and left half of it as again had very little taste and unpleasant consistency. Have eaten here before and it was much better so may have just been unlucky. But really didn't enjoy the food at all.

We went to the Riverside Zak’s yesterday for an impromptu meal. Having recently returned to the area I was looking forward to having a Zak burger which I remembered fondly from my youth.We hadn’t booked and were offered a table in the bar area. The table we sat at was cold and we moved near the heaters but the temperature was still chilly.It wasn’t busy but after taking our order we waited 30 minutes for our starter and another 30 minutes for our main course.At no point were we asked if we wanted another drink, despite our glasses being empty.To be fair the food was good when it came, but the overall experience was disappointing. I was hoping for better things from a company I frequented regularly back in the 70’s. I won’t be going back.

Been going to this Zak's for a few years now. Very friendly staff and good food. I was concerned with where we sat would be quite cold (we went in Dec 21), however the heating system in place was very good. My order didn't look much in truth, however i was very full afterwards which was satisfying. The major downer is the car park is tiny and very tight, however for its location along the river, this is expected. Definitely recommend 👍

Delicious food, great service, cool decor, nice location.This place realllly exceeded my expectations. Don't ask me why, but I'd pictured something with less quality: a money-making scheme without the passion for cooking.But it was lovely. The service was down-to-earth and conscientious. The food was fresh, delicious, and the added bonus of local beers really meant something to me. I did ask for a discount on account of my name, but no joy there.We left a tip for the waitress. Well-deserved.Nice, too, to look out over the river at Cow Tower, one of Norwich's historical spots.Will I return? Absolutely.

Had an amazing time for a lunchtime birthday meal. Really friendly staff who went the extra mile. Wonderful food with VERY generous portion sizes and much cheaper than we expected. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

We stopped at Zaks for breakfast during a recent stay in Norwich and loved the place. They have a small parking area outside and no doubt the place is popular amongst the local students in the evenings but the overall setting next to the river and choice of both American and English breakfasts was lovely.

Lovely views of the river and Cow Tower from a nice outside seating area. Very pleasant staff but were informed of my onion allergy and then brought out food with spring onion all over it. The burgers were really good and we were not waiting very long. The spare ribs were apparently very succulent and tasty but as they were sprinkled with spring onion l wouldn't know. Not too expensive. Would definitely recommend.

A great setting by the river. We return time and time again over the years and always get consistently excellent food,service and value for money. Good old Zaks. Thank you.

Great atmosphere, wonderful food, friendly staff reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. Blue cheese dip was amazing!
