Apple Cart in Peterborough

The staff were friendly and the overall atmosphere was nice.A couple of food items we wanted to order were not available, but it happens to all restaurants, and the food we had was nice.My only dislike is the 241 menu, it's clear that the each item is roughly double the price it should be. I suspect years ago the concept worked and was a bargain, but with rising costs has become a bit obsolete.

I don't really know where to start with this one, upon entering we were greeted with a warm reception and showed to our table. Bar service was quick and efficient and the ease of ordering was superb. I didn't quite catch our servers name however she should be commended on her customer service skills. She had glasses and a friendly face. Genuinely grateful for all the help we received from her when I accidentally knocked a drink all over our table and my wife. The food was excellent. The steaks medium rare temperature was absolutely perfectly cooked so thanks to the chef. All in all a great dining experience and we would be happy to return and will be doing for future meals. Thank you to all the staff involved, especially the young lady who went above and beyond. A* service.

Staff all very helpful and polite. Food was lovely. Plus we had 2 chefs in our party of 4 one of which works for the same chain of brewery. If they said it was good it was good! Will definitely be back again

Pleasant staff food was quick to be served was hot and delicious.Change of policy of no bill at end have to pay up front which is not a problem but.......The only point is the fact of no table service so if you want a drink middle of your meal you have to leave your food.

No table service, slow too. Ordered something and something different was sent out against dietary requirements and when asked for the right thing got told they'd actually ran out. Requested a refund and the response from one of the waitresses was like we'd made the mistake. Same waitress was just rude in general.

Everything started fine with our order being taken for drinks and food all arriving in good time, once we had eaten our starters and mains our plates were cleared away, we were not asked if we would like a pudding and it took a great deal of time to attract the attention of staff so we could order one as they were to busy talking to each other or just wandering about.To sum up good food service could be a lot better.

very friendly waiter, food was amazing- i ordered the sweet potato tagine and it was delicious! everyone else i was with thoroughly enjoyed their food and the bill didn’t take too long to arrive.

Not been for a few years, service was good with a friendly waitress looking after us. The food was ok although we ordered the fish and chips which turned out to be out of stock but reordered and all was good.

If you go when it's quiet I promise you a lovely meal!! Avoid at all costs during busy periods! Only time I've ever had an issue here was during a peak dinner rush however apart from that when it's half empty I've never had a bad experience! One thing that cannot be knocked is the staff friendliness! 7/10 food 10/10 service

We love going to the Applecart for family meals. We’ve had family birthdays and many happy Christmas dinners here. Katie and her team are fantastic. The Applecart has a great welcoming atmosphere and the food is tasty. Lots of happy memories being with family here and lots more to make. Great all round family pub!
