Lovely, smart looking pub. Mark was the first person that served us and was professional and engaging from the word go. We ordered pate and unfortunately it only comes with one small slice of toast. With plenty of pate we asked for another slice of toast. Our request wasn't met with the most positive response and eventually our slice arrived at the cost of £1.29... We were very disappointed with food and attitude of some members of the team. I must say Mark is a gem and the rest of the team would do well to emulate his level of customer service.

Came here on Easter Sunday with my boyfriend to enjoy a lovely roast, we were served by the handsome Fuhad who was extremely friendly and accommodating for us. The food was incredible I had the 7 Hour slow cooked rib of beef and it practically melted, and coming from a Yorkshire household it is fundamental you get a Yorkshire pudding right with the roast… and they did! Will definitely be back again as this was my second time being here and both times have been stellar.

Lovely spot by the water, we had lunch here. A Steak sandwich and fish finger Sandwich. Very tasty, and hot.Service was great, friendly staff, very welcoming. We took the dog and he was welcomed in without any bother. There were other dogs there too.Parking is pay and display but if you are using the pub you can type your registration number into the tablet on arrival and get free parking. This place must be lovely in the summer, it was wet and windy when we went but we did have a little walk around the water.

I have to say that the service in this pub is absolutely disgusting. Not only do the staff have no clue at all about the products that they serve, but when you do finally manage to place an order of something that is actually available on the menu, they don’t even bring you your order.Ordered on the app, after 20 minutes I had to go to the bar and ask for my order. No apologies for the fact they were not busy at all and seemed to have forgotten about it but also a total lack of knowledge on what the drink even was.The beer listed on the app was not even available, nor were another 2 of the listed beers. 3/4 beers available on the app were not even available on the bar. That’s horrendous in itself. The pub itself is lovey, it’s a shame it’s run by a bunch of useless, half-witted children.Sort your app out and educate your staff on the items that they are serving.I won’t even go into the detail on the beer I orders being 5p more expensive than the beer I was eventually served.USELESS.

Very nice, for drinking and eating is a lovely place, inside a marvelous natural park. Fantastic atmosphere

Lovely pub and location but the food was awful! Whilst they have some gluten free options it seemed that absolutely nothing was fresh and had all been re heated/microwaved.Wouldn't eat here again at all but is a nice place for a drink by the river 😊

Just had a delicious light meal of chicken pate and toast and coffee late. Very good environment and atmosphere with excellent friendly staff. Its also dog friendly too which is an extra * point from me. Thank you

Stayed in the nearby Firefly Hotel and had a very enjoyable meal here from a great menu.A table full of guests were not happy that several things were not on the menu due to supplier issues (that many restaurants were experiencing at the time) and decided to try elsewhere.I would like to add at this point that I witnessed the manager handle the situation with calmness and dignity under provocation from one individual in the group. The meals were full, tasty and well presented and the establishment, busy, clean and full of interesting decor.Would happily recommend.

Beautiful place, lovely nature trails which are mostly well kept so you aren't bothered by nettles and thorns, some places could do with a regular touch up though.Really big, connects to Thorpe park if I'm not mistaken (not from around here). Lovely place to go. Just bring your own water... The pub we went to charged nearly five pounds for two bottles of water lol.

👍 - Place look nice, menu options look good, starters were good👎 - but Mains food quality not great, ordered medium-rare steak and arrived well-done... Gammon was so dry, 2 of the fish main dish were not available, mains are expensive for this kind of quality
