Cafe Smile in Peterborough

Friendly staff good prices .Nice coffee and milk shakes .I would recommend this place for a light snack and drinks. Clean environment. Clean toilet but I felt vulnerable as the door didn't seem to lock securely. I would have been in full view had the lock failed .My only negative comment.

Like the refurbishment since we were last here 3 years ago. Thank you Covid!The menu is simple but well executed. Café staff just as professional, courteous, and friendly as they were on many previous visits. Hygiene looked to be spot on. Has to be 5* minor grumbles:- table leg wonky, door lock on men's cubicle very stiff. But still a well deserved *****.

Great value for good food, previously I have had cooked breakfast, today i purchased tea cakes, both were good, i have an issue with waiting for designer coffee, costa and starbucks are so annoying waiting for something that is either bitter or not so hot, so i have pots of tea in cafes, the tea here was a bit weak because the teapit is large however you do fet 3 cups of tea for your money, either decrease the size of the teapots, which is a bit expensive, or buy stronger brew tea bags, but then again thats just my opinion so do what is good for the majority. A great pkace to stop and take the weight off having a snack and drink

Ordered pot of tea x 2 and slices of lemon drizzle cake, which wasn't too bad but maybe cream of some description just to moisten, but that is just my own personal opinion.

Freshly cooked and tasty food, friendly service as well. Would definitely recommend it and will be revisiting.

Very nice. It's been a while since I've been and I took my mum out for a coffee and a sausage roll. Team seemed to be a little stressed when we arrived and it wasn't busy but it didn't taint our experience. Everyone has off days and their food is lovely! As you can see from the picture. My tummy was satisfied!! :-)

Found this place by accident. Really glad that we stumbled across it though. Great place, staff were spot on and the food was incredible.. I ordered the francesinha. They're not easy to find in the UK... If you have never had one I advise you get yourself down there and give it a go!And the sangria is lovely too !!

Slow service that was very lacking, not very busy but you'd have thought they were. The current system of hands up when ready to order made me feel like I'd gone back to school and was especially uncomfortable sitting like that for 5mins (although me and my friend just had to see the funny side) Uncompromising menu my friend wanted to be a little awkward and switch out beans for extra mushroom, or something along those lines, which most places can accommodate without issue, but they couldn't manage that. It took a while to get the order correct when putting it through the till but we got there in the end. The food was actually pretty good and not really greasy like a lot of places (we had breakfast). Price was maybe slightly steep when you look at the service and the type of place it is but it was OK.

Brilliant value for money! I enjoyed a lovely prawn sandwich, garlic bread with cheese and glass of coke. Really friendly staff and good portion sizes. I'd definitely recommend the Smile Cafe... I came out smiling 😁
