Crab & Winkle Public House in Peterborough

We booked a table to celebrate mine and my granddaughter birthdayWhen we arrived the table had been reserved for us. We sat down and studied the menuThe crab do a selection of small plate meals for a very reasonable price so it was decided by our party to select all 10 + a repeat of 5 of the dishesAnd we requested if they could all arrive at the same timeI suspect that the chef had raised eyebrows when he saw the order, but I have to say that the chef and staff carried it off superbly. The food was well presented and tasted delicious once again a very big thanks to the landlady Carol and all the staff at the Crab and Winkle

When ringing for a table the lady was very polite Carol and very welcoming fantastic fish and chips freshly made kids enjoy their meal will be definitely coming back

This place is good value for money and the food is nice too, don't like the fact that we booked a table and was placed next to a group of loud mouthed idiots who weren't even dining, they were just having a drink which they could've done at the bar.

Very nice friendly pub. Sraff very attentive. Food although you don't get a lot is really nice and well priced. we have been for the last 2 Fridays and can not complain about any of it. It can get a little noisy at times so If you like a quite drink or meal it might not be for you still try it though as would highly recommend.

Booked by online booking, unfortunately 2 of our group of 8 couldn't attend. Food was lovely and service was good. Our 1st time here and would definitely come back.

Pretty good actually... much better than I was expecting. Food was excellent, and very reasonably priced. Friendly staff too. It gets reasonably crowded at lunchtime, which is proof a lot of other people have drawn the same conclusion. I'll definitely go back.

Well done to the manager and staff for making my wife's birthday a memorable accation, Although we were a table of eight and the pub was packed,the food and level of service was first class. Thank you and well done.

Given the price you pay for your food and the portions you receive is more than adequate.Speed of Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️On this particular day the speed of service was fine. No real issues here and the waiters were regularly checking for updates on drinks.Food Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Overall quality of my food was extremely good. My mixed grill was cooked to my specification. Very flavourful and everything requested was there at first delivery to the table. Although some more ice cream would be nice with the Fudge Cake dessert. I personally feel it would complete it and compliment it well.Restaraunt Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The overall cleanliness of the store was okay. I have no real issues with the cleanliness. Staff were regularly cleaning tables and sanitising.AOB-I have no other business to add.

As we were not far away from this establishment we decided to give it a go, due to a recent incident with a Greene King restaurant / accommodation they compensated me with credit to use on food and drink on another.Track and Trace is used via a code or by doing online they don't wrote details down one way system in place.Staff friendly and accommodatingWe were sat on a quite part of the pub everything was clean we had to go back to bar to orderNo chicken stripes as sold out - only 3 starters on lunchtime menu and one was sold out offered scampi on sharing platter to make up and halloumi fries2x signature hunters chicken for main and 2x pint of orange juice / lemonade and lemonade / lime cordial overall bill £48 very good value.Food cooked well unfortunately forgot to take picture of starters but did of mainWould recommend again
