First time going here and it is a big place. Very clean place and lots of goodies to buy if you have the money. Massive choice of nearly everything but a little over priced for what somethings are. The staff seemed happy and the couple that I spoke too were knowledgeable & polite. So over all a great place all round just over priced for me.

We went for a work get together and had a lovely afternoon with the company and chance to catch up outside of work.... it was a lovely thought to treat us to an afternoon tea..However...we got served our tea in a mug with tea bag in...(no really!) .The food arrived and our initial thoughts were... is this for 2 people? I went for a savoury... had some quiche, a boiled egg halved, a pork pie halved..2 'cheese scones' (I say this because they are pseudo cheese scones.... plain scones with a cheesy topping.. no cheese within the scones... so disappointing!) And 6 triangles of sandwich.. I had 2 egg, 2 cheese and pickle and 2 lovely ham and mustard....most of us took a doggy bag home as it was so much... There was a range of food/sandwiches.. although we had a range of teas.. some traditional, some savoury.. some vegetarian savoury one piscetarian... there was an interesting range of sandwiches on different platters! Initially my colleague who requested a piscetarian tea had a pork pie and cheese and ham quiche on her platter... and no fish at all, in fact 2 of her sandwiches were just tomato, lettuce and onion! On the traditional platter they had smoked salmon!!.. she spoke to management and they happily bought her some tuna and cheese sandwiches and offered to refund her meal cost as it was preordered.. but it's obvious that food prep staff didn't understand the term!I was happy with mine, aside from the cheese scones.. I make my own much better! - but had to ask for a doggy bag!The ladies toilets stank like a gents public urinal... some were out of order.. others had lots of loo roll all over floor.. or no loo roll in holder... 2 out of 3 hand dryers didn't work...and a massive hole in plasterboard wall near door...such a lovely space ruined by no regular maintenance or up keep.. Will not be rushing back!

Went to the softplay, in the time we were there nobody cleaned it or even came into the area and it was quite dirty from people leaving their rubbish on tables when they left. This is the second time it has been like this within the last couple of months. It is a nice sized softplay area but let down by hygiene. All of us that went have been ill a day later. Doubtful I'd go again which is a shame.

When here to find out the best native plants of this Country, for my sister's Natural Burial Grave.Dianne, gave us more than customer care, her knowledge was excellent and her sensitivity was heart warming. She made us feel cared for and confident in our final choices.Thank you Dianne, for your time and care, you are a credit to your profession.Evelyn Donnelly

Good location with plenty of parking. Plants, both indoor and outdoor, in good condition. Nice cafe with good selection of food and drink.Overall a pleasant experience, will definitely visit again.

Stopped here for a coffee and leg stretch during long trip and this place ticked ALL the boxes. Superb latee, terrific loos and great shopping - not just plants - mini Sainsburys too! Had tea and cake on way back!!

Went with a friend to take her grandson to the soft play which is usually attended by a member of staff. The soft play area was lovely but the seating area was full of people's dirty cups and plates which nobody came to clear! The door that normally has a high push to open button (so children could not open the door) wasn't working so it was a slide to open, which wasn't great if you have you hands full of bags, and a child! Now I have to admit this is the first time I have been when it's been like this as it's usually pristine so I hope it's just a one off as this was not a great experience

Really, really disappointed with the quality of food served. The scones look amazing but looks definitely aren’t everything! The cheese scones are sweet and apparently they use the same mix for both varieties, dried fruit for fruit scones and cheese (perhaps although there was no cheese in the actual scone- just the top) for the cheese scones. We had one of each. We were both left with an awful dry baking powder taste after eating them. The tea is disgusting. They use the same sized teapot for one and two persons but only give one teabag per pot. Catering teabags taste like dusty sweepings up and I don’t understand why cafes don’t use decent branded teabags instead of opting for rubbish. I did ask for another teabag but the taste didn’t improve. It’s the second time we lunched here because of a car service nearby but won’t be going back anytime soon!

Dobbies is one of the nicer garden centres locally supplying the usual indoor and outdoor items. Reasonable prices and the butchers and deli are really nice additions to the shopping experience. Past visits to the restaurant have always been great too. Recent visits have had slightly lower stock levels in some areas but that's to be expected.
